Unless being in a stasis vault in Trazyn's museum is right where he wants to be. Would not be the 100th time something broke loose in there, and he would be infinitly closer to it there than just going after one of Trazyn's thousands of silimulcrum. Interest Trazyn by being the first honest to god godling to appear in a hot minute, get stasised, either an outside force or something on Vashtor himself breaks it, grabs what he wants while releasing a small army of other Trazyn's prizes as a smokescreen and phase out to the nearest pickup point.

All I can imagine is Vashtorr walking through the battle of bloodshed and suffering with a rather lackadaisical, just woke up and about to make a coffee kind of mood. Turning machines inside out and stepping on tau and chaos grunts alike.

This is really interesting because necrons are often shown to be more idle about chaos because they have a different view on time. But with vashtorr able to threaten enslavment they may pick up the pace to kill chaos

I like to think he interests Trazyn to the point he snatches him up _right_ before he assumes this godling could be a threat. Sometime later Trazen gets an alert that something broke out and in the short time it takes him to sprint back, a chunk of his station has ejected off and is fusing with Wyrmwood, with an ever closer to ascension Vashtorr clutching a mountain of Trazyn's goodies to acend further.

@@gremblorthesackgoblin7953 dude, how much brainrot have you and others got? Trazyn is a robot. That would use technology to capture vashtorr. Which won't work because vashtorr. CONTROLS AND MANIPULATES TECHNOLOGY He wouldn't even be caught in the first place. Let alone taken back to the museum

So what I’m hearing is: Vashtor gets summoned, the wyrmwood goes a bit like 80’unicron on cybertron/ ork attack moons on a tau planet, tau get the eldar treatment, and sounds like the best way to deal with vashtor is kroot. Oh ya it’s all coming together, kroot style.

That's a really cool passage detailing the new power/rule that Vashtorr can do on the battlefield. We don't get a whole lot of Chaos vs Xenos stories.

@regalgiant1597 really? Why is he boring to you? I think he's way more interesting and has a lot more story potential than all Khorne related characters combined. Edit: though I like Vashtorr, I don't think I'd like him to actually ascend to God hood. He would become less interesting at that point.

God I want Perturabo to work with Vashtorr so damned bad, because the technovirus that made the obliterators and turned a tyranid bioship into a Titan carrier, that’s in Perturabo’s possession, would be a nightmare in the hands of Vashtorr. His ability to control machines combined with a virus that turns living creatures into machines would be a major threat to every living species outside of the warp.

Words cannot describe how much I want the culmination of this arc to be that vashtor in the end betrays abbidon and it’s revealed that he actually made a pact with the iron warriors. Then we see perturabo in his full mechanical demon form. Now we have a fifth chaos God with his own legion. It would give us a whole new army plus it would actually give decent lore for perturabo becoming a demon.

Hmm, so Ynnari Croneswords - Part 2 Electric Boogaloo (this time with spikes). Does anyone feel like this story will just be another fizzle out with Imperium winning again? I have no issue with using these stories to launch new models/armies, but GW, please be more creative with how you close them out (please see Angrons return/defeat for reference).

Wonder if the anti-warp relic that the FSE has would protect them from Vashtorr's power. Also it's good to have fights between factions that aren't the imperium, it's good for the story to have stories not involving the main line humans

Vashtorr needs a weakness. Currently, in my opinion, his one-sided nature makes him as interesting as drying paint because he has to overcome nothing; he has power from the beginning and geVashtorr needs a weakness. As it stands, his one-sided nature makes him uninteresting because he faces no challenges; he is powerful from the start and becomes even more formidable as we learn more about him.ts even more powerful as we learn more about him.

How does vashtorrs ability work? Cause it sounds like the tau were beating chaos before he came and he was able to turn the battlesuit against the pilot but why didnt he do it with the rest of their tech? Like they are THE tech race

he moves instantaneous. he was in nexus for a bit, then warped around for other places. The RG also saw his planet i believe in a report beginning of 10th.

When the Vashtor Character came out I rather liked it, but over time, the Surprised Pikachu Face *(TM)* Demi-God is getting a bit tedious...the whole "He just looks at the machine and it stops working" isn't terribly evocative/inspired writing.
