Hey everyone Rho here! Today we discuss the latest news from within the Warhammer 40,000 lore as vashtorr the Arkifane appears within the Nephilim Anomaly... making his move against the forces of the Necrons and facing the Silent King!
No real need for a spoiler today as we are just discussing the latest news from the current edition of the White Dwarf magazine. Which I strongly recommend you check out if you can!

I see three ways Vashtorr has of getting past the noctilith. 1) Rely on mortal allies utilizing the power of faith => Word Bearers 2) An army of robots and/or Dark Mechanicum 3) His interdimensional plot engine

The silent King has the perfect secret weapon vs Vashtor and its called a shard of the void dragon or possibly reaching Mars and Releasing the rest of the void dragons form.

Vashtorr is on a path to become a deity and I hope we see a rise of The Dark Mechanicum, The Arkifane VS The Silent King could be a great match up, this rivalry could be epic

I hear people regularly say warp is "untouchable" and cannot be effected by Necrons. If it was completely unknowable by science, why various kinds of imperial warp tech work at all? If warp was fundamentally different, nothing made by non-warp entities would work there. Not to mention Necron stuff that completely cuts it off. I remember people Magnus end up with who people call "mages" were calling themselves scientists.

@@randomdude8202 Perhaps whoever is saying that simply means that the warp is a fundamental part of reality. That is true. You can suppress if with things like Blackstone, but it cannot be destroyed or gotten rid of completely.

@@epicwaba6424 well, warp is technically a parallel dimension, and to be able to destroy it you need something that can destroy an universe. And that is unlikely since it would be a cheesy move by writers. But still, I am quite sure it can be manipulated by conventional means, enough to tame it the same way the real space is tamed by necrons.

I like that scene where Cawl was like "beep boop bop, I delete that spot" in the nexus causing vashtor to show up and him going like "YOOOO"

I had suspected this was how the narrative would go. The Nephilim effect covers a huge area. Vashtor vs the Silent King should be interesting.

i see it being a stalemate. they're not going to have wormwood be destroyed yet. They're not going to kill the silent king and doubtful to have full scale L. I think we all dread that they fight eachother to exhaustion and the imperium comes in plot armor blazing and defeat them both since we've seen it many times before...

100% all the other Choas Gods are so like meh, but Vashtorr got that spark to whip them in line and make things happen.

I suppose it's one of those scenarios of whether or not Szarekh takes Vashtorr seriously enough. If the Silent King shows up in even close to full force, he'd decimate Vashtorr just through sheer fire-power alone. Vashtorr needs ro avoid that long enough to get past a point of no return of he's screwed. If Szarekh takes rhe threat of Wormwood seriously from the start, I'm not sure what Vashtorr could really do to stop the Silent King.

This is probably for table top, but this could be a great set up for Mechanicus II especially considering you will also be able to play as Necrons in that new game.

If Vashtorr's powers can corrupt the Necrons despite them being inert to the Warp, then I see no reason why the Warp couldn't affect the T'au (beyond the obvious stuff like doombolt-to-the-face or Nurgle farting in their general direction).

Honestly, they really should write a full major novel book staring Szarekh. Imo Necron novels have been the best of 40K in recent memory.

Even if the Silent King could stop Vashtorr, GW favoritism and incompetence won’t let it happen.

It's not favoritism. It's that no side can ever win. GW has to ensure that the most all the factions can do is fight to a draw. If the war ever ends then the sales go away. So no faction can ever get a clean win over another.

@@michaellee1244 Vashtorr isn’t the Chaos faction by himself. I’m not sure he even represents the Chaos gods at all, he seems like an independent Chaos entity to me. Saying you can’t stop Vashtorr is saying no individual Chaos champion can be stopped.

I don't not think Vashtorr will be successful in his goals, so The Silent King have a good chance of defeating him or at least forcing Vashtorr into a retreat.

Let’s see, the SK is millions of years old, owned the ctan, has tech from the necrons at the height of their power, and can create blackstone that can shut down the warp. My money is on him

My money that Chaous can win 101/100 any scenario but its want endless war (simple because of endless food). SK millions of years are not matter because every demon existed befoure the time (Warp has no time or space concepts. Even 4-God existed and done something to the universe befoure even born,lol). C'tan obviously a way weaker that 4-Gods simple because 4-Gods are trans-dimentional beings and not something that bigger that star,lol. No, necrons tech in reality is only C'tan knowledge of the universe and it powers aka laws and in the same time every demon is a concept. For example Vashtorr is a knowledge or science (but in an evil way) so he litterally know everything that C'tan or any races known, he only need energy aka power source to create what he want. And demons can destroy blackstone , so? The main diffirence that demons have infinity resourcess and time and Silent King - no, because of diffirent dynastys, that want kill him or desobey, Imperium re-create their formal glory and Tyranids main fleet. P.s You forgot that Necrons is a small fraction and never be united because 95% of them are already broken or become insane after 60 millions years of sleep. Necrons today and Necrons 60 M ago are not the same force.

yeah well Eldar would have been exterminated by the necrons along with the old ones had not the silent king decide to fight against their c'tan gods and shatter them.Since the necrons took heavy loses fighting against literal warp gods and gods of reality silent king decided that the necrons would go to sleep and wake up after you know the eldar F themselves.So overall necrons accomplished pretty much everything they set out to do

Eldar beat only their own asses ,lol. The Necrons stomped Old Ones and after this they stomped K'tans. Space elfs only fighs vs several dynastys when other already went to sleep.
