Honestly almost every time I see queer characters in media they’re handles pretty well, I can’t think of too many examples outside of riverdale 😂

Really beautiful piece of acting when Jenny says "I don't like her ma'am, I love her. And as to being different, she's a lizard." The way she does it says so much about them in so few words.

Unfortunately the makeup used for Vastra is extremely expensive and hard to apply, and can't be left on for more than a few hours a week because it can be toxic, which left them unable to use her character very often due to budget and time constraints.

Vastra, Jenny and Strax [oh you HAVE to include Strax] could support their own series EASILY. Now IF they did a Female Doctor, with THIS quality of writing, and LACK OF SELF CONSCIOUSNESS ie: not hitting the viewer in the face with it like slapping them with a dead flounder, THEN it would be a accepted by fans and be a success.

yes! you can have prominent female characters without reminding everyone of it every five seconds. it makes representation much less clunky if it just is.
