- South Facing
- Why are people so scared of this word/direction?
- Why people feel that South Facing is so bad?
- In India there is tendency among masses that if someone says the I have South facing property they will simply not take that property.
- Or, people think that if they stay in a South facing house then I live in a very bad house
- I receive numerous calls & questions from people saying that I have a South facing house what shall I do?
- Having a South facing property is not bad!
- First let's talk about which properties are actually South Facing
- The facing of the property is that direction which one faces while exiting the house/office
- So, if you are facing South direction while coming out of the house then your property is a South Facing property
- Let's now assume that your house is a straight South facing i.e the axis of North & South in the compass is coming straight
- That too, if your entrance falls in the centre i.e. in the South then that will be considered as South Facing
- Such kind of houses or plots are considered good
- If one gets such kind of plot then surely one should purchase/rent it, especially if one can follow the internal Vastu principles
- Such as, the master bedroom can be constructed on the SouthWest, Kitchen in the SouthEast
- If it is a commercial property the machines can be places in South or SouthWest
- In the North, NorthEast light weight machines can be places or kept empty
- Hence, if one can follow the Vastu principles during the construction then such properties will be a good South facing property
- In India there are some common followings, the front portion is always bigger than the back
- In the US & Europe this rule becomes the opposite. Their front portion is always less, all the garden & swimming pool is at the back side
- Hence considering India, if one takes a South facing property, the front portion will have openness and North will become smaller.
- So, we go against the basic rule of Vastu which suggests that North should be more open
- If one selects a South facing plot then ensure to keep more space in the North and East
- Now let talk about a constructed property, be it a residential house, a bungalow, apartment or any commercial property
- If it is South facing then it should be 90-degee South facing.
- Straight South and Entrance should be in the centre of the building, that property is considered good
- Then one should check the internal construction
- Check if there is a master cabin / master bedroom in the SouthWest
- Kitchen should be situated in the SouthEast
- The North should be comparatively open
- Then comes the boring, the underground tank. In the South facing always check the boring, it should be at the back side
- So, if one gets such kind of constructed South Facing property then it is very good
- There is an important factor in South; in one side of South lies East and on the other side lies the West
- So, if we say that there is a portion of West coming in the South or East, then it makes the property SouthWest or SouthEast facing
- These kinds of properties are not considered good properties
- So, if someone is searching for a new house, apartment, shop, office or factory he/she should avoid SouthEast or SouthWest facing properties
- But is one is already staying in such property then not to worry, it can be balances with remedies
- But what is more important is the construction & placement of the rooms, toilets & kitchen
- It should not be the case that one has a SouthWest facing house and the kitchen is located at the back side, i.e. NorthEast
- Then definitely there will be financial & health related problems
- One will never realise that the problems are due to the kitchen in the NorthEast, rather people will blame the Facing of the property i.e. SouthWest, so people will blame the facing direction
- Hence the internal construction of the house plays a major role
- So, take care of all these points and if one gets such kind of South Facing property then they can surely take it
- It is clearly a MYTH that South Facing properties are bad
