@@danrook5757 Sorry but that is the dumbest excuse ever. Realistically that should have made you hate alcohol like it did to me. Im 23 and i don't drink or smoke because i was around it 24/7. i got taken away from my mom at 15 she ended up dying last year from a prescription overdose. Honestly you guys probably don't even understand what an alcoholic parent is my mom got to the point where the doctors said themselves if she stops drinking she will die now that's a full on alcoholic. If that didn't kill her the alcohol would have she was close to dying many times and yes she was given all the help in the world from social services but rejected it every time. she would be brought to hospitals and go to rehab but would run away. even my aunty tried helping in the end didn't take care of herself because she was trying to help everyone else and ended up dying 4 months ago from cancer she was my foster carer when i got taken away from my mom. Anyways....... DONT DRINK SIMPLE. still to this day i don't get how people portray weed as being such a bad thing when alcohol is what's killing people and destroying lives. p.s i have smoked weed before and i live in the uk so its illegal i haven't gotten addicted its been like 4 years since i smoked it.

That young man would do good to not keep in contact, keep going on his job, make some non-drinking friends and never look back. It isn't easy, but he's being abused with all the drama as well. I'm glad he took him under his wing, got him a job and a place to live. He'll be better off to change his phone number, not let them know where he lives, and move on. I cannot help but think that the baby was also going through some sort of detox given his mother is dependent and probably was drinking throughout her pregnancy. One can see immediately, that the baby is despondent. Floppy. Probably a "shaken baby" with the accompanying syndrome, for crying too much which just worsens the problem and causes others. May that baby find a home where he will be loved and cared for. Doesn't need to be a palace..just a place that will give him love and the things any child needs.

I'm probably too ingrained with this particular young man. He is so much like one of my grandsons. I feel like he might have been born with fetal alcohol syndrome and he has struggles developing certain things that most of us take for granted. I'm extremely protective of kids and find myself wanting to help in some way. I pray God's blessings and protection over his life and I know you are in his life as his protector and used by God for this. Please tell him that my family in America has him and his story in our thoughts and hearts. Thank you . May you have multiple times the blessings you give to others. 🥰. I've been in your position when I saw a 2 year old sleep on urine filled diapers and roaches everywhere. It was horrific. Noone has any thing else they can do but involve the police and social services to protect the children that don't have a voice. I really hope the baby is safe now. Greed and drunkenness will make people do bad things to support the addiction. This is common in America and it's disgusting. People even sell the babies and kids to drink and use drugs. We in the world must be courageous for the children.

Yes, I also saw FASD. Likely in his sister, the mother, too. Not to mention the baby. Tragically, the FASD problem will increase in America now that women will self-soothe with alcohol if forced to complete their unwanted pregnancies. Did you know that American women drink alcohol more than Russian women do, alcoholics notwithstanding? We're going to see a 21st-century version of Ceausescu's kids in communist Romania. Remember the orphanages? They were largely the result of prohibited abortions in the 1960-90s.

I knew two boys that were taken away from their alcoholic mother in Nizhny Novgorod. It was such a sad situation. Months later I saw her begging in the metro, she recognized me and stumbled up to me begging for bread. I bought her some and came back and proceeded to yell at her for abandoning her little boys, I couldn't help it, I was so upset with her. Sadly, she died about 6 months later. I'll never get over the sense of despair and hopelessness dealing an alcoholic mother. Their children are completely cheated out of a safe and happy childhood.

In my opinion, we should not judge people who are alcoholics. Many alcoholics drink to forget everything, forget their problems. Lets have emphaty towards them. However, of course, if a child is in danger, he should be removed from the family.

You did the right thing. I am guilty of running and fixing the small problems, and doing that makes it hard for the authorities to fix the big problem that is causing the smaller ones. If you had just bought her more baby bottles, or just given her the money to go, it would have maybe felt like the fastest way to help. However, in waiting there was more truth to be learned. The baby was not just hungry, he was also injured. The mom was injured too. Was it her man? Or did she fall when drunk? I do not know, but no matter, she needs far more help than a few dollars and new baby bottles. I pray she gets the help she needs, and breaks the multiple generation of alcohol abuse, and her baby is loved and cared for (if not by her, then some other family) I really enjoy watching your videos. I love the Russian language, and with the English subtitles I am able to understand what is going on. Please keep making them. 🙂

You made the right choice, no doubt about that! I’m an addict in long term recovery, 7 years of sobriety come November 1st and know the game well. My father passed away several years ago and wanted to use my inheritance to help those still sick and using. Honestly I should have known better, I played those same games with people who tried to help me. Addiction is the devil in the flesh, and by trying to help others I was putting my own sobriety at risk and had to stop. I’ve since found other avenues to fulfill my desire to help others. You’re an amazing human being and it’s so disheartening to see people trying to take advantage of your kindness and generosity. Keep going! You’re doing great things! There’s no helping people who won’t help themselves.
