Astounding how Gethin let it get to this ... one cannot accept a £200,000 donations from some guy whose company has been convicted of breaking environmental laws ... But then when it surfaces, refuse to return the money. He has also refused all help from his colleagues.to repay the money. Refused a colleague's offer to pay the money back for Gethin. It was and is ludicrous behaviour. Gethin is it seems incredibly arrogant and little loss to Wales or his political party.

I’m Welsh, he treated me with contempt when he was Minister for Health and dismissed a genuine complaint supported by evidence, good riddance.

Rishi, Humza and now Gethin gone. The UK is healing.

As I live in Wales I can't say I'm that happy because we will probably end up with someone even worse. I don't think he was any worse than Mark Drakeford and quite frankly didn't display the same level of contempt and hatred for anyone who disagreed with him. Wales will always be govererned by the Labour party, its every bit as traditional as leaks, daffodils, rugby and male voice choirs.

It is odd how there seems to be a growing tendency to rubbish Mark Drakeford, now that he has retired. People seem to have forgotten how, during Covid, he was a First Minister who, by and large, commanded respect and support alongside his Minister of Health, then Vaughan Gething. This despite some fairly obvious mistakes having been made. We will never know whether Vaughan Gething would have made a good First Minister. Maybe if he had immediately apologised for having accepted the £200,000 donation to help his campaign, and immediately paid it back, he might (even should) have survived. For me, having justified removing his Minster (did he even need to give reasons?) and then failing to show evidence for those reasons, did for him. I say this as someone who does not vote, and never have voted, Labour or Conservative.. I cannot help wondering, myself, whether the Senedd is really value for money at the moment. It seems to me to be following the English model of concentrating everything in the South, and in Cardiff in particular. I am definitely not in favour of increasing its membership by 60%, anywhere, but certainly not in Cardiff.

I feel embarrassed quite frankly that I had to put up with his mess. He is a very arrogant man. The junior department of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff will be shut, and there is a petition, and last month Vaughan Gething was asked about it, and he said 'I'd ask the college to think again about the choice they made.' In other words, he didn't want to do anything about it. He's a very arrogant person indeed, and good riddance!
