We are coming to an end with this project. It has just passed the MOT with zero advisories and this blocked washer jet is one of the last jobs to do before cleaning it up and advertising it for sale.

For anyone reading this and doesn’t have a compressed air tank. I put my jet right underneath/ inside a sink tap and held it tight. And then turned the tap on to its max while holding it so the water goes through. Worked best with the outdoor tap just make sure to not drop into a drain

Got myself an Astra Sri on the weekend. Gutted to get home and find out the rear washer isnt working! This will be this weekends project. Will let you know how it goes 🤣 Thanks for the video

Thanks, it was not working for months and i finally got enough courage to fix it thanks to this video. Everything was exactly like you showed - as for the jet washer, i went to a gas station and started to tiring filling machine and just blasted that air through the hole and it worked.

Thanks for the guide mate proper came in handy. Luckily for me when I pulled the pipe the jet valve bit came out with it, tested it from the front and all is working again without taking the light out. Cheers for the video mate left a like on it for you 👍

Mines gone too, conveniently 3 days later my boot now won’t open, I suspect the pipe has slipped off and the fluid has got into my boot switch. Oh the joys!

Cheers for that info sorted mine. I just pop it in a cup of thick bleach for 20 Mins. Then rinse hot water and blow through it. I put the nozzle on the pipe without reassembly to test first. Jobs a good un.

Handily my Cavalier came with a Nautilus Blue colour coded washer jet unblocker pinned to the sun visor. A Proclaimers CD in the glovebox is there in case that doesn't work :)

Had a Nautilius Blue Cavalier myself. Was my pride and joy but it was stolen and then burnt out 😩 Andy👨🏼🔧

got the jet off and it wasn’t blocked, no water came from the pipe but the tank is full and front jet is working. what would i need to do next please? thanks so much

You either have a split pipe somewhere or the pump is blocked for the the rear jet. My next move would be to inspect the pump outlet and work from there Andy👨🏼🔧

Sorry been reading the comments and can't find any which actually tells you how to remove the jet itself. I can see but don't know if I pull, twist or use pliers to yank it??????

Either of those methods will work. You will know yourself once you see the pipe but it’s basically exactly as you say. Pull and twist using long nosed pliers 🤙🏻 Andy👨🏼🔧

@@AMSVauxhall Just seen another video which tells you to use a flat head screw driver and push on 3 silver looking clips. Being doing this for ever, but will go back the original sugestion

Hello .. my water washer works but the wiper has froze in a motion position any help ????

You will need to test the motor but chances are it has seized and will need replaced

Richardzon if it won’t pull of with twisting and pulling then you will need a hook and awl kit to prise it off. Or you could pop the light out first then you should have better access to the pipe.

@@AMSVauxhall when I try spraying for the front wipers nothing happens and all the water leaks through the bottom near the motor. The hose has come off but can't seem to get anyone to fix it

@@mokhan786 ah I see! You will have to remove the front bumper and then you will be able to access the pump and bottle

So for normal people without a compressed air tank whats the alternative?

Submerge it in a cleaner or WD-40 overnight Use your mouth, use the air from a spare tyre, take it to a garage, buy a compressed air bottle, buy a compressor, buy a new jet.....plenty options
