One of the issues this 2012 Astra came to me was, that the remote would unlock the car, but then would not lock.
The car would have to be locked with the mechanical lock in the drivers door.
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.

Thanks this video helped me fix my remote with the exat same issue... different fix thou, after watching and not being able to work out how to remove the pub from the fob. I gave it a good few bangs against a worktop and it's fixed!!! 😄😄😄

I have the same issue on corsa D key, you can hear and see the button is good but no short when clicked. i am gona try open to button and see if i can repair it.

You have a great honest determination atitude that the car's problems will not beat you Louis! My 2006 fiesta ST has a faulty ABS unit, damn it! If possible, could you recommend where I could possibly have it repaired? Many thanks.... Jeff

@@LMAutoRepairs I have the engine management light on, the ABS light and brake warning light, and no speedo. Car drives as it did before all the lights came on..

@@jeffcarter5805 Ok... makes sense you point into the ABS... but, have you scanned the car? Or have you done any other checks to support your conclusion that the ABS module is faulty?

@@LMAutoRepairs Yeah Louis, Ex ford mechanic has scanned the car and found multiple codes of no comm with gateway and can bus and inst cluster. He told me that the ABS unit was up the creek and that there are three possible units ford used, but He seemed to think it is a ATE70...alas, I cannot see a part number while the unit is still in the car.. I'm spending the weekend with my daughter and grandchildren so will not be taking the unit out until later next week... I do appreciate you taking an interest.... Thanks...

Might be deadlocked... and the lock failed... or a wiring issue... You need to investigate... 👍👍👍

Hi, same my key only unlock the car but doesn't lock it, i don't hv that computer device to check key fob function status, all i did , i happened fob and i checked both buttons with multi meter, as you told , buttons are fine. But still my lock button is not working. 😕

Another good repair there! Are those buttons available on eBay etc? I have tended to destroy the buttons I've replaced in the past although I did have new ones to swap them out with.

Autel MS908P It will program the key, but not an used one... Will have to be a blank key, and you will need the car security pin... Thank you for watching!

Is it possible to add comfort open and comfort close to a vehicle that dosnt currently have it ? I have a 2016 ford focus estate some fords have it but mine dose not and I wondered could I add or program this feature to my car some how ???

@@LMAutoRepairs no I mean the ability to hold down the lock button and all the windows go up and the same for the unlock button when holding that the windows go down my Ford dosnt have that feature and I wanted to no weather or no you could add that feature to the car using the maxisys pro ??

Difficult to tell... Perhaps the receiver on the car? If have how to do a scan, and look at some live data, do that... it might help! Thank you for watching!

I believe the is an antenna that connects to the BCM... which handles the central locking...

Check live data... could be a sticking relay or something like that... a faulty switch is also a possibility... Difficult to pinpoint without looking...
