We've charged the battery so lets see if we can start this Vauxhall Signum 1.9 CDTI after a swirl flap delete and a replacement EGR valve that was leaking.

Battery jacket is to keep the battery warm and retain heat in winter and to deflect under bonnet temperatures when hot, knocking the inners out of a dpf will only fail IF the tester can see it’s been tampered with , it’s a very common thing done this day and age, good video as per usual Martin 👍🇬🇧

Excess visible smoke out of the tailpipe is the give away the dpf has been butchered.

good video Martin modern cars there is no space to work on them i have a 2010 ford kuga and it's a pain changing the battery on it goes half way under the bulkhead got to fit new starter its going to be a nightmare

Good video. DPF delete is an MOT fail now Martin if one is fitted from factory and gutted or removed. Clear the codes and run a forced DPF regen using scanner. See if that works. Chuck some professional grade DPF cleaner in it first. If it does not work its a new DPF unfortunately.

If the ecu believes the dpf has come to the end of it life span, it will restrict power to stop damage. Remember… the auto regens only remove soot, that turns to ash, which remains in the dpf. With the correct diagnosis, you can tell the ecu the dpf has been renewed and with a clean, should be good as new.

As far as I know you may need to tell the car the dpf is new to get the benefit of the work done

Hi mate just make sure it goes on a long drive every now and again holding the revs at three 3000 to 3 1/2 thousand revs for about 20 minutes

MOT guys are not happy at dpf bypass pipes anymore. Take the guts out and get it remapped. Just don't tell everyone on the net.

How long total to strip it out? Looks like my signum has the same issue now and it’s our only car - so I need to plan strip out - clean - flap refit/fix - rebuild… Great vid though 👍🏻

The old cars are the best to work on Martin you could do them yourself that's why the manufacturer make them like this now so you take them back to them so they can make money out of you look at how them make lights and indecaters hour Ur more job you could put a new clutch in a cortina in that time with a break for a cuppa lol

The battery clamp should only be loosened on that battery tray, if you look at it with the battery removed, you'll see it's in a flexible mount, easier in future 😉

The battery clamp had been removed completely, that's why I had to put it back on.

I use a website called Fiverr.com You can type into the search bar "Create A Logo" and you'll see pages of people who will create one for a fee. You can get one done for as little as $5.00
