Made a decent job of that. I have seen other vids which made no mention of disconnecting the battery, butchered the airbag rivets on the replacement and also broke the badge. This is a good guide on how to do it

Brilliant! Very usefull! I'm also renewing my Zafira thanks to you videos I've replaces yet the Handbrake gator and the Gear srick gator! Next tarjet will be the horn pad skin!

Same here... "attacked" the Horn pad today..but with airbag light the problem posted above.. :(

I have already replaced the skin on the horn pad successfully thanks to your tutorial (DerbyShire). No problems at all. Everything is working fine in the car.

I remember when doing this job that the plastic was a different type to the original, anyone have any concerns about airbag issues, should the worst happen? Assuming it still works after 20 years..!

The airbags have probably passed their replacement date twice over after 20 years anyway.

Great vid!! Thnx!!! ...but I got stuck when putting it all togheter... Airbag light lit up and...won´t shut.. any ideas???

I take it you disconnected the battery? it is possible when you reconnected it it has a "dry" connection rub the pin with a tiny bit of grease or it could be a bent pin.

@@Mids1970 Yes ...the "system" was completely emptied before even starting the op(I even measured it).. I´ll try it tmrrw.. windy and pitch black now here, The Aaland Isls..

@@Mids1970 Hi again.. Greased the poles, nope.. deflated the system(trying to reset the ECU, 2hrs), nope.. tried with a new battery, nope. Opened up the cover to check the connector(it was ok), nope... Got a link to a cheap Opel OBD resetter? (eBay?, EU-seller?)
