Very strange maybe worth replacing selector switch may be short circuiting to make it run Is this a new issue or always been there has someone played with it

@@Jackduncan987 thanks for the quick reply. Val is my mam. It’s happened before. But felt like it reset after a disconnecting/re connecting battery. Not this time though. It couldn’t have come at a worse time as I’m due to drive to Warrington, then Lowestoft and the Isle of Wight over the next 3 days. It’s not been tampered with as far as I know and like last time, came out of the blue. Prior to this all speed settings were working as expected. Parked up, came back a few hours later started engine to find it blowing full speed.

@@steevidrums that’s okay always try and reply quick as possible, best thing I would suggest is pull out the fuse for the heating, check your manual first so you know what you’re pulling out but just Googled it and I believe it is fuse 25 in the fuse box behind the passengers cup holder. This will get you through the next few days until pulling out the unit and replacing it or looking a bit deeper

@@steevidrums this sounds like your issue in section 5- stuck relay. You could always buy a new one or swap it with something else you know that works and if that sticks on then you know the relay is dodgy. mechanicask.com/blower-motor-keeps-running-when-car-is-turned-off/

@@Jackduncan987 brilliant thanks for the quick reply. I’m forced to maybe disconnect the connector block in the engine until I can get a garage to look at it (when they’re open in jan) Off topic. After reconnecting battery this morning. Blower was off. Engine started fine. No blows. Until… I put blower on 4, then it stayed on again. I’ve disconnected battery for the moment. I’ll give it an hour or so. See if it stays off when I reconnect. Fair doos, I’ve had nothing but problems with this van since I’ve owned it coming up to 5 years. I

Maybe try spraying with a moisture replent on the plug
