Thats pretty cool machine, didnt exspect that. The one tools looks like a double version of the Kirby zip brush to scrub at the stain. Nice job

Hi, I bought one in late September this year but only used it today. I only have one carpeted area. Deep pile and I filled the tank to just under the 'deep clean' marking and a lot of water has been used however, is there a method to getting it to suck it up as I barely have any water in the dirty water compartment. It seems to have tackled my problem areas sufficiently on the first go and isn't overly damp considering the amount of water used however I'm just a bit boggled as there's barely any dirty water in the lower compartment. Much appreciated!

Hi unfortunately these don't have the highest suction so whilst they do extract water from the carpet, the carpet will still hold a lot of the water and it's quite difficult to suck the water out, in order to dry the carpet the vax relies on the exhaust air which blows onto the floor underneath the machine to speed up drying time. Sometimes the head doesn't stay sealed to the floor so just check it's touching the floor especially on thick carpets

I put my hand or foot on the plastic part at the front as I drag the machine back. It’s the only way it will suck up the water properly. Not very good. 😕

On mine it seems the hose is not flat enough to suck on couch as the brush is in the way and can't go flat

how do I get the spin scrub brushes out - the manual says pull firmly but I'm scared of breaking it.

They just pull out, they take a bit of forcing to detatch

It can be used with a hard floor attachment that clips on the front, only the spinscrub bristles lightly scrub the floor instead of the main brushbar as it raises the height of the head

ed glauner if you want i recommend you the dyson dc40 or something cheaper the dc14 which is the best old school dyson or the dyson v11

@@snoopysrc Its your choice because i would recommend Dyson because shark need constant filter washing whereas Dysons dont. Dysons is every month

Hi I've only used the platinum but vax rapides are older models and don't look as sophisticated as the platinum with spinscrub brushes and a better looking brushbar

please, reverse the carpet so we could see how it's damp/dry from the bottom side after cleaning ;) what's the difference between quick and deep clean mode? is this hand tool brush powered by separate motor?

I think the deep clean mode just releases more water that’s all, the little hand tool is air driven It will soak the carpet if you go over it a handful of times whilst squeezing the trigger but it has a nice blower underneath where it blows the exhaust air to dry the carpet

When you press the trigger water and solution (unless you are in rinse mode) go into the carpet but when you release the trigger it sucks up the water etc. Vax suggests pressing the trigger as you move forward and releasing it as you move back. I did a few more passes with the trigger released. I was very pleased with how quickly the carpet dried.

How does this compare to the bissell revolution 2x pet pro?

The Bissell is better overall, the vax has nicer spinscrub brushes but the Bissell stays in contact with the floor better, however the vax has nicer tools for the hose like the spinscrub head. The Bissell has soft brushes on the stair tool The vax has a larger bin and water capacity Bissell has an awkward located power switch, the vax has a foot switch They’re both loud machines I think the vax is a bit louder As for build quality the Bissell is a bit better

@@TechBoxHD1 Bissell's Big Green is by far the best machine I've ever seen in action. I have a Vax Platinum and the BG is far better imo. They pop up on eBay from time to time...

@@new25651 £250 is still £250 wasted if the product doesn't work as you'd hoped. But hey, I've saved £350! It's why I mentioned eBay. The Vax Platinum is appalling at _picking up_ water ime. Ergo: it leaves a lot of dirty water still in the carpet.

Have you connected the dirty water tank correctly? Someone on the Vax video had the same problem and that was the advice given.
