Milwaukee Tool invited VCG Construction for their Jobsite Cleanup Showcase where the announcement of their M18 FUEL 6, 9, & 12 GALLON WET/DRY VACUUMS was made.
We share with you all the specifications of this all-new line of cordless vacuums from Milwaukee tool. You’ll get to see the M18 FUEL 6, 9, & 12 GALLON WET/DRY VACUUMS compared to its closest wet/ Dry corded competitors, in decibel ratings as well as CFM and power testing. You’ll see durability testing of these new cordless M18 vacuums that includes not only the hose, but the wheels as well. We share all specifications of the M18 FUEL 6 GALLON WET/DRY VACUUM (0910-20), M18 FUEL 9 GALLON DUAL-BATTERY WET/DRY VACUUM (0920-20, 0920-22HD), and the largest of the trio, M18 FUEL 12 GALLON DUAL-BATTERY WET/DRY VACUUM (0930-22HD).
Although these cordless vacuums are not “Hybrid power” you will have the option to buy a 6.5 PEAK HP WET/DRY VACUUM MOTOR HEAD (0931-20) that runs on AC power. We also give you a good look at the two shop vac carts that are available, the standard WET/DRY VACUUM CART (0923-20) and the PREMIUM WET/DRY VACUUM CART (0933-20).
You’ll also see all 19 AIR-TIP TRADE FOCUSED VACUUM ACCESSORIES that were announced at Milwaukee Tool. You’ll get to see these air-tip accessories in action as well as learn the intended purposes for all of these.

@@drakestruble8365 but will the vacuum come on automatically when you use your power tools? i still think this is whats holding cordless vacuums and some cordless back. I use a corded bosch plunge saw with a vacuum, as im sure you're aware of, when i pull the trigger on the saw, the vacuum automatically turns on. If we go cordless, then we'd have to go back to turning the vacuum on and off ourselves. I really hope this issue is addressed by some manufacturer

@@chrisbonnie my Festool cordless tools turn on my Festool vacuum through Bluetooth. It’s also nice having the Bluetooth button on the end of the hose of the vacuum instead of going back-and-forth to the unit for the switch. From what I understand these new Milwaukee vacuums don’t have a place for a packout system. What were they thinking but not including that?

The accessories look pretty sweet and the fact that they are somewhat universal and can be used with other brands is great. I noticed that they have a separate AC head. I think they missed the boat in not making a dual power battery and AC head. Could have even made it a charger.

The vacuum runs on a DC motor. Having an AC input will necessitate an AC-DC power supply, and a 500W one is going to weigh a kilo and add essentially a brick inside the vacuum.

I do auto detailing, so these vacuums are well above what I'd need but I'm still interested, I love the tons of attachments. I'm definitely getting any that would work for detailing. One thing that's sorely lacking out there are quality attachments. And good hoses, hopefully they'll sell the hoses seperatly too and they can be adapted to work with other vacs. I buy a Rigid hose+attachment kit about once a year. The hose isn't great and most of the attachments are just decent. These look absolutely amazing. And the fact they're not only not propritary, but they fit out the box on multiple hose sizes without any extra pieces is great. I have 2 different vac's with 2 different hose sizes so I have converters because undoubtably certain attachments are only made for certain hose sizes.

Here are my two cents on this. The good: They seem stout, and the power seems great, especially for batteries. Supposedly they are made in the USA! Even if it is with global materials that is a giant step in the right direction. The accessories are awesome. Including the option to use them with other products, awesome. I would have liked to have seen one or two provided with the vacs, would have been a good gateway to the product. I don't blame Milwaukee there, why would you provide something with the vac that your competition is not? The bad: Not including Packout in the design of this product is rediculous, and lazy in my opinion. It is a real missed opportunity. For some reason Milwaukee cannot seem to make both sides of their house work together, they constantly miss the boat on packout integration. I am also incredibly frustrated that Milwaukee refuses to allow for a dual power option with any of these high power tools. It forces you to make a decision between battery or corded (in the future), or buy both (which is what Milwaukee is likely aiming for). Then there are the accessories, Milwaukee only includes the absolute bare minimum to make it work. No base cart included, attachments must be purchased separately, and no filter bag ($30-45 apiece, really?!). I am losing faith in Milwaukee as time goes on and as I continue to see these cash grabs that benefit them. Not much consideration for their customer, just their wallets.

@joep8520
@joep8520 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaellim4165 don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem with a business making money, even a lot of money. I just fail to see the real value in the product. They aren't really innovating, I have a rigid vac that costs at least half as much that offers much of the same. Yes, it is not battery operated, but I don't know how likely it is that I would want to dedicate two of my rather expensive batteries (that have limited recharges available) to the task for only 45 minutes of runtime. If they offered dual power at least then I could use the batteries when I don't have power otherwise and save my batteries for the real work when I do. They appear to just be looking for a way to drive people further into their battery platform, and to make people buy multiples. How is that good for anyone but them? Just more plastic to be manufactured, and eventually thrown away.
@michaellim4165
@michaellim4165 2 жыл бұрын
@Joe P That is the beauty of the battery platform: its keeps users locked into the ecosystem, creating huge opportunity cost to migrate to a different ecosystem. It's creates hesitation for buyers as they calculate the huge sunk cost versus the incremental cost of purchasing additional tools for the sole benefit of portability and "compatibility" aka monopoly. Manufacturers don't have an incentive to make corded products anymore as they can't lock in consumers into the ecosystem. Companies are following where the money goes. Going back to the product, people are still going to buy it because it's part of their ecosystem and enough research has been done to measure the demand that is present in the field. Perhaps you should be waiting for gen 2.

Yes, it sucks! Sucks that currently no vacuum have so many options! Favorite the pivot attachment would save someone like me from having to get a ladder or crawl. The function to reduce accident is a plus. Also the attachment with magnets is brilliant, and would love to if it also had the magnet feature or a detachable area (at the end of the hose before going into the container) where it also catches magnetic parts or materials. It saves cost but having to go to the nearest hardware store for parts to save time to completing a job. Every little bit helps. Plus I tend to drop a lot of the small items. I don’t have magnetic hands.

This vacuum will do the same put a manual vibrate handle on vacuum to shake filter will improve suction time or maybe automatic but probably drain battery to quick

I'm only a casual / sometimes builder, so this is a miss for me - I'm sure it works for others. Certainly packout seems like a missed opportunity. But also: these vacuums seem like they could have had just a TOUCH more engineering to be able to be dust extractors for jobsite tools I already have, like table saw and chopsaw, and bluetooth sense them turning on. Seems like a missing link in the Milwaukee model right now....
@MikeDolanFliss

Also - VCG is the only channel I'm subbed to that caught that great question from the viewer about packout. So I heard it here first - more packout jobsite vacuum solutions are coming! I'm gonna wait for those. And I hope they can double as a dust extractor for those jobsite tools.

@whilomforge3402 2 жыл бұрын
@@vinberube136 I believe dust extractors have more suction and lower cfm than regular vacuums. I’m not entirely sure, but I thought that was the difference. So, a dust extractor works in conjunction with other tools much better than a vacuum, but it’s not a good option for using as you would a standard vacuum. I may be wrong about that, though.

Got to have the 12 gallon with smaller container too. Would be good for clean up of larger masonry debris besides everything else. Cfm little bit lower then I was expecting though it is higher then the packout vac I got currently. The main thing is how good can it clean. Sds plus chisel brick then remove largest debris will it clean up fine. Highly possible with the size of the hose.

Please say they hired an engineer to design attachments that are standard sizes! 🤞 Glad to see 2x batteries are being utilized. It does seem unnecessary to sell motors alone. I really don't see someone just upgrading the motor, and leaving the old motor "collecting dust" so to speak.

I see a lot of excitement in the comments. I guess I'm in the minority on not seeing these vacs benefiting me. I'm a bit surprised that none of the 3 offerings are HEPA filter dust extractor with standard auto start with tool use, and variable suction, and auto clean option. When I saw the thumbnail I assumed there was at least one dust extractor. I know Festool is releasing a dual battery extractor. I'll stick with my corded units I think, but I'm curious to see them. I use dust extractors on my jobs for sanders and saws. I rarely use a shop vac, but I'm thinking a lot of you guys are doing a lot of general purpose cleaning on new builds, or reno work where power sources are scarce, and if that was my usage I'd see some value too I reckon. I will say the accessories seemed pretty cool and I'd check some of those out if I can find or get a 3d printed adapter to fit my hoses. I do also agree that not incorporating the ability to click a packout on top seems either like a misstep, or in 6 months people will be buying another unit for the packout feature. Still a cool video Vince. I'm sure it was fun.

@VCG Construction When is milwaukee going to come out with a cordless hot melt glue gun??? I've been looking for a hot melt glue gun that can provide really hot melting Temps to use better industrial glues for carpentry application but haven't found a portable option yet that can do just this! Any thoughts on who makes a cordless glue gun that can fit my needs? I know I'm not the only one wondering this...

They missed the mark by not having the pack out boxes mount to the top of the vacuum. That would have been huge. Or with the size of the vacuum head it could also be a battery charger with a retractable cord.

I am a big fan of Milwaukee and this vacuum looks really good, but I don't understand why they didn't build this product to fit the packout system. It really is just frustrating that that they didn't.

Can you do another review on the 12 gallon on how it's been working so far I been thinking about buying the 800 dollar one but it's crazy expensive but I feel like it's worth it because of the two 12 Amp batteries. The batteries alone are like half the price of the vacuum lol and there high output

They should have offered a Y-syphon tube for the blower end of the vacuum. So you can move liquids without getting any liquid into the vacuum.
