It was hard to edit this one tbh. One of my favourite characters in the whole show, was really sad to know that we won't see him in the show again.
This is my longest video yet, I could have made the video a lot longer but I don't think many of the viewers like to watch long edits.
Ragnar's journey from a farmer to a king was truly great and incredible. I tried to show his whole long journey through this video. His dream, destiny & Ambitions, his love for Athelstan & his sons (Bjorn, Ivar the boneless, Ubbe, Hvitserk) & wife Lagertha, betrayal by rollo & floki, the choice he made, his legacy, the way he questioned his own gods, his fate, faults and failings as a leader, father and an husband and finally his path to Valhalla. A true Legend.

People barely point out how well Ragnar has evolved and how well Travis Fimmel played it From a curious peasant to an ambitious earl to a symbolic King to Drug Addict to a Simple wise old man still Remains the biggest Character development in the show. And Travis Fimmel is so Versatile. (Btw his Drug Addict stage was probably the best acting imo even if that was at his lowest)

Ragnar is the best character i have ever watched. Certainly, for me there are more like Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Rick Grimes, Jon Snow, Bjorn, Negan, Michael Scofield just to name a few, Certainly there are many more. But Ragnar is just the best IMO. P.S- Travis Fimmel is underrated af. I can't imagine someone else playing Ragnar. He is a true gem. A pure actor. Period. ❤️

Ragner isnt a person who actually lived, his legend is based off of multiple viking kings and "Lothbrook" is merely a nickname given to great warriors and leaders around this time, atleast supposedly as we have no way of knowing if any of this is even true at all because vikings didnt document anything

As a hardcore viking series fan , I could say it's the best edited video in the whole KZfaqverse.. If the makers of Vikings see this, they will definitely enroll you to their next season... Amazing work brother... Since the series is different from single movies, it's very difficult to watch full, cut & edit on a story basis.. But this... This work..It's out of world . You deserve much better brother One day you will become what you dreaming of.....like KING RAGNAR LOTHBROK achieved his.

In the series Ragnar took every great thing with him to Valhalla, just two things which were left great : 1. Sons of Ragnar took revenge of his death. 2. Bjorn fights the great Rus army supported by Ivar. The way Bjorn wake up from death to inspire his people to win the war.

Travis Fimmel fit so perfectly to this role, he made it impossible to imagine any other actor playing Ragnar Lothbrook, Alot of cudos to the directors and Travis to make this magnificant character! I wish they cut the show when Ragnar died, and rather made the brothers journey a sidekick, even tho Bjørn still did it some justice in the end.

Some of his speeches are brilliant. My favourite. "Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up" More often than not, this shows what people in power are like, and not all the time is this done for the good of others. Personally I would find it hard to do what Ragnar did, there were obviously a few times he did things he really didn't want to do, because he was forced into positions of power that he really didn't want. It shows what it takes to be a good leader, and how little it takes to be a bad one. I don't think I could lower my morales in order to lead others, I can't imagine many others truly could either for the sake of everyone else, at the expense of themselves.

the episode Ragnar died legit cried even after watching that episode multiple times , and the speech he gives while in the horse carriage to the blind man just amazing. How Travis never won an award for his role as Ragnar goes to show you that rewards are just for show. He played 4 characters in essence. He played at the start the naive farmer with hopes and dreams, a young man not filled with ambition but a curisoty of the outside world. He triumphs over many hardships and finally becomes king, So thats another character he plays. And you can see the changes in his character as certain events unfold it also forces him to change. Being betrayed by King Ecbert, by his brother twice, even Floki by killing Athelston someone he considered to the his closest friend. Then comes defeat, which leads us to Old King Ragnar yet another totally different character that he plays. Yes other characters change as well but not to the extent that Ragnar did and he had a presence. He didn't speak unless it was important. There's too many moments where Travis steals the spotlight in the show Vikings playing Ragnar but one of my favs are outside of Paris after they have failed to breach the walls and everyone is arguing what to do next and he gives his famous "I'm King Ragnar speech" and you could see his raw emotions. No one else in the show could capture the moment as he could cause it was so authentic. Watching Bjorn after Ragnar died was painful cause his acting seemed too false , hyped up.
