I'll be comparing it to controllers soon like the Series 2 and maybe some other custom controllers in the future. If you have any thoughts on the Instinct, own one yourself, or wanna make fun of my hair, be sure to leave a comment down below. I'll get to as many as I can! I hope y'all enjoyed the video and I'll see you guys in the next one

2 tips for halo: 1: scoping in for close range fights, especially with the BR, is a big no no. The BR is better at mid to long range combat, so if you can have something like a sidekick, AR, or mangler, those are better for close in. 2: Halo infinite has the same aim curve system as halo 5, which brings along the same aim assist. It's better to run a lower sensitivity with a higher acceleration. This allows you to track players in close fights more easily, and it also increases the effectiveness of your aim assist. I guarantee this will improve your close range accuracy

I'm ngl man, I only planned on doing that for this review. I absolutely cannot stand playing the new halo for more than one game at a time, but that's just me. I didn't plan on taking the time to get better, but I did want to try it out for "Review gameplay" purposes

Ex professional top 1# swat and runble player with my teammate NapTimez for the razer controller binding pick up weapon on the mouse click triggers or back buttons give you a great advantage, using a low sensitivity is more beneficial but now a lot of pros player the mid range of six down to 4 sensitivity. And hold crouch rather than toggle is completely busted with crouch spamming. Learning mechanics like the stair slide boost or grapple surface slide boost make movements so much better. Would you also pick the scuf instinct over razer controller or any other controller? Out of all the controller what controller would you say is best? No matter the price range

I'm honestly enjoying the scuf instinct more than the elite v2. I'm not gonna say too much tho since I've only been using it for 6 days because I have no clue if it's gonna be more or less durable than the elite. (My elite lasted only like 4 months before all of the problems started rolling in).

@@wjaylon697 yeah i got bumper issues after 4 months of having too and I forgot to get the extended warranty so I had to figure out the fix on my own witch I did after a couple of weeks but everything else started to fall apart near the 1 year mark like the home button and thumbsticks and the paddles got warn out. still got a good year and a half out of it tho so I'm thankful it held together until I got a new controller.

I had two Elite Series 2 Controllers the First one lastet also 4 months until it Started to make problems. The second one i have sold After two months. Now i have solderd a Stock Controller together with the extremerate Kit. The position of the buttons (paddles) are worse, but it did work well also with the hair triggers. The fact that you can optimize your elite Series 2 Controller is nice and also the paddles and the other stuff you get with the Controller is great BUT the durability is aweful! This Scuf Controller seems to be good but it is way to expensive. the paddles and everything else aren‘t surprising me. The only thing that i really love about that controller are the triggerstops.
@MoDucker
@MoDucker 2 жыл бұрын
Heyo Cuda! I actually opened up my Scuf Instinct Pro out of curiosity and the trigger stop mechanism is actually quite simple to be honest. To put it simply, there’s a micro switch sitting stationary inside the controller at all times, just out of reach of the trigger itself. All the trigger stop is doing is moving a piece of plastic between the trigger and micro switch which allows the the trigger to actuate the micro switch, giving it the clicky trigger.

Keep up with the brutally honest reviews and stay true to yourself, it will pay off in the end 👍. I'm also tired of all the tech "reviewers" who are either sugar coating their opinions just to please the marketing department of tech companies, or just too dumb to correctly express any critical view : those kind of "reviews" have the same utility as a product packaging : a spec list in a nice marketing wrap.

I’ve had my elite v2 for around 2 years. Don’t play a ton but I started getting stick drift real bad. And luckily I’m pretty handy with electronics. Changed out the analog sticks and zero stick drift. Now I’m having issues with the trigger stops. Full lock the right trigger won’t register. So I’m gonna replace the mosfets and get neo magnets. It’s gonna be a custom modded here in a few 😅 I’ve been eyeballing that scuff tho. Or wait for a series 3. Hmm 🤔

After about 8 returns of an Elite Two I decided to give up and try something new. I’ve currently been using the Power A Spectra which has been working really well as a replacement. I got the Instinct, out of curiosity, on Amazon to give it shot and I have to say it doesn’t bring anything to the table worth the 230 price tag. The customization is cool and the trigger stops are amazing, but not 230 worth it. The main issue I have is that buttons suck and often don’t register if you don’t smash the crap out of them. Is the Instinct better than the Elite two? Totally. Is it better than a 40 dollar Power A controller? Absolutely not. So yeah, returned that and wished I would have waited for this review because I came to the same opinion.

Currently using Elite 1 as my main controller. I'm thinking about getting an Xbox One controller (Not that dogshit series X stiff reduced toy of controller) from Battle Beaver. I like how they offer up to 6 back buttons since I want to try 5. I was wondering if I should get the standard buttons or the quiet soft buttons. I've seen mixed reviews but one of my biggest issues with the elite 1 is that the paddles aren't clicky compared to the elite 2 or a Power A controller. I also don't care if the triggers are irreversibile since I can change controllers for non shooters. But I just want to hear your recommendations for the buttons as well as how durable will the controller be overall.

I've never had a SCUF but I always hear about so many different issues, especially like the stuff you discussed. They're just SO far out of what I would want to pay for a controller even though I do like video game controllers in general. The biggest thing I heard last gen the most often was that they had bad customer service, I saw that in a shit ton of reviews on practically every website. I play on PS4 and obviously Sony doesn't make their own pro controller but I have used Nacon ones for awhile now and had no issues really at all with any of them other than just one with the Unlimited; the headphone jack is absolute garbage. It just does not work well lol which is a shame cause I like everything else about that Unlimited controller. I paid $140 for that one and I don't regret it. This is with 7+ months of use nearly daily.

@bkblindside3884

I just watched your thumbstick variables review before this and I was wondering why you never tried or mentioned the medium stick height with the low profile kontrol freek? For me it's the perfect middle ground between accuracy and speed on the right stick. Not to mention kontrol freeks basically NEVER lose their grip. I've had my atomic grips for literally years and they still look brand new.. The new paddle design on the Scuf looks awful. Does it feel an unnatural as it looks? I've had the same Elite Series 1 controller since they dropped and I still think the paddle design is superior to the older vertical Scuf paddles. For anyone wondering how I've had my Elite 1 for years and it's still running like new? Every single part in the controller has been replaced multiple times :) I'm not joking either I mean triggers, bumpers, analogs, sticks, paddle board, the usb jack, everything but the beauty of this frankenstein is that you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from a brand new one outside the Scuf grip plates that replace the old elite back handles and the tactical grip tape I applied to the paddles. I actually just put new analogs on it a couple days ago. Hardware and software calibrated the drift on every axis to be less than .010 and it feels like perfection.

Well, the Paddles on the series 2 feel much more ergonomic and usable, but the controller itself is horribly unreliable. SCUFS buttons aren't as comfortable, but the 2 buttons on the outer edge feel perfectly fine. The biggest difference would have to be the price to performance metric bscUs the seires 2 offers more features for a cheaper price, but again, it's highly unreliable. So it really is up to you. You can have the fastest Triggers in the market and 2 usable buttons with the Instinct, or more features with the less reliable Series 2

The PowerA Enhanced I got recently had issues with the left trigger switch within five days and only ~8 hours of gameplay. I've heard it's pretty common with their controllers.

Where is the ORANGE BUTTON KIT option? I picked up my Instinct Pro not long after they became available but going back, the Orange option is no longer there... The only thing I noticed with mine was the Orange buttons were slightly pale vs what the render showed so I guess they decided to remove the option...shame as Orange buttons on Gray faceplate looks nice.

Good stuff. Interested on your take of the Azeron. I just switched from using a controller on pc to that, (about a week now) and the learning curve is steep.

My personal favorite controller is the Power A Fusion pro 1. The fusion pro 2 is cool too but the paddles on the first one feel better

as someone who uses hall effect gimbals(aka thumbsticks) for my racing drone controller(very common btw), the fact that gaming controllers dont come standard with hall effect gimbals is just dumb. I'm hoping scuf will be the first to add these into a gaming controller, they're not that expensive anymore, they are super accurate, they never have stick drift(why I use them), and they're proven better. Nice video btw :)

I just got my Instinct Pro yesterday after a month wait. I can honestly say it fits my hands a little better than my Elite 2 and it being lighter was kind of a welcomed surprise(or maybe the elite is just heavy). I really liked my Elite 2 but the Instinct Pro just fits my bigger hands better and more comfortably. Warranty could’ve been better though i agree

The series 2 is quite heavy for a controller and fortunately the new XSX Controllers are a bit smaller than the XB1 ones

Hi , question about scuf : Do you have try to use on pc wireless ( bluetooth ) if work or too much imput lag ?
@vCuda
@vCuda 2 жыл бұрын
There's input lag, but it'll work on PC if you have a Bluetooth adapter or motherboard. Wireless will always have a bit input delay, but it isn't an insane amount these days

My favorite controllers right now are honestly just the PowerA Enhanced controller. I love the two back buttons’ placement more than any pro controller out there. I don’t like trigger stops so i don’t care that it doesn’t have them. I also don’t mind that it’s wired. I love all the fun designs and it’s only $30!!! It’s an amazing value and I play shooters competitively and it does the trick.

Hey Cuda ! I’m going to buy a pro controller and I have about 200 dollars to spend, which one would you recommend ? I was thinking about the elite series 2 but I know it’s not really reliable. Furthermore I’m too far away from my tv to have a wired controller 😅

You're farther than 12 feet away from your TV if you are I wonder how you play the game any game for that fact I was just give me a bean bag chair instead in front of the TV by a powera Fusion Pro 2 target has them for $69 normally 89 and it's exactly like the elite pro 2 just not wireless I love it best controller I ever bought
