Soya Chunks Pulao
Prep time - 15mins
Cooking time - 30mins
Serves - 4
Ingredients
For Boiling Soya
Soya Chunks - 2cups
Water - 1lt
Salt - 2tsp
Ginger chopped - 2 tsp
Green chilli - 2nos
For Pulao Garam masala
Cloves - 12nos
Cardamom - 16nos
Cinnamon 1” piece - 5nos
Saunf - 1½ tbsp
For Pulao
Ghee/oil - 4tbsp
Black cardamom - 2no
Black pepper - handful
Cumin - 2tsp
Pathar phool - 1small piece
Onion sliced - 1cup
Garlic chopped - 2tsp
Ginger chopped - 2tsp
Green chilli slit - 2nos
Potato chunks raw - 2cups
Salt - to taste
Turmeric - ¾ tsp
Chilli powder - 1½ tsp
Coriander powder - 1tbsp
Tomato chopped - 1cup
Green peas - 1cup
Garam masala - 1tsp
Kasoori methi - 2tsp
Basmati Rice - 2cups
Mint leaves - handful

We’ve made pilao with paneer chunks for 30 years plus….love it….when I was little I would call it yellow rice and my parents and I still do, new thing I’ve learnt from this is adding saunf, always enjoy your videos thank you 🥰

wait a minute ...same story my side too...My mom makes a signature pulao kind of dish and calls it yellow rice...with the same saunf overload and ground masala paste. are you by chance Tamil?

Hello..we made this polao several times...in Winters it becomes more yummy ..we eat it with dhaniyapatti chatni and tomato chatni..almost every week we cook it...we use paneer too sometimes...thanks chef 😋 👌

Just finished it. It was yum. My 2 year's old daughter also liked it. I just reduced the spices(for her) and skipped tomato( unavailable at home), served with raita and chilli egg. My husband, who is very peaky about food, also liked it. Thanku Sir ❤♥️
