This is the first person I've seen doing vegan recipes that didn't just annoy the hell out of me. I might even try some of these recipes, I mean I don't know about going full vegan but I like the idea of opening up my recipe base a bit more. Keep bringing this guy back.

You definitely got to try this one. I made some fresh tomato salsa with ketchup (redundant, i know^^) to top it off and it tastes really great. I'm not a vegan nor a vegetarian btw but as Tim said this is a great burger for anyone.

I'm not a vegan either, but i do find myself making vegan things all of the time like these burgers and desserts because I want to change things up. Vegan cooking has very creative ways of using natural ingredients, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the innovative approaches to old recipes...One thing that surprised me about burgers is how much taste is more dependent on condiments/sauces and not the meat itself.

Just made these burgers and OH MY GOD they were so much better than expected! They actually made 5 large patties for me. I actually put all my ingredients in a bowl and mashed them instead of the food processor cause that just looked way to messy for me and I loved how they turned out!

I'm a Derby boy, Tim Shieff and Damien Walters have been an absolute marvel for the last 10+ years. What this guy can't do isn't worth thinking about. One of the best in the world! You obviously don't get to his level eating anything but the absolute best.

good lord, how grateful am I for this recipe! I'm a vegan myself (apart for when I eat in a restaurant, that would leave to few options here in the Netherlands) and have been searching for a good, easy recipe for a burger for ages! thank you so much, gonna make it tonight for dinner!

your recipes actually make hungry! I'm really set on going fully vegan. I've taking baby steps, but I'm slowly getting there. The one thing that has been bothering me though is that the recipes I see online don't seem like hearty meals. I don't want to eat couscous and salad every day for the rest of my life, so seeing your recipes is really refreshing. Thank you!

Do you think I could use veg broth to 'fry' instead of oil? SO, SO, GREAT to have yummy vegan food on this channel!! I'm a 59 year-old, 10 year vegan and love trying new recipes. Always refreshing to see young men eating vegan AND cooking! Thanks again!

This is great. My son used to be a meat eater and only just tolerated veggies. He gave up meat about five months ago and was eating mostly readymade veggie food, so this is very helpful, thanks.

Hi Tim. Thank you for making veganizm look so cool and appealing to youngsters as well. We are a vegan family of 4, just about a year now after I switched my lifestyle to raw vegan (well mainly as I enjoy making meals for my family that I'll enjoy for sure too!). I'm very proud of my 2 girls that made their own decision to become vegans at age 7 and 4! We honestly don't miss animal products at all (big things from us coming from a country where we were eating meat with meat!), in fact the flavours are a million times nicer and we eat a much more varied diet than ever! We love making burger patties as they are so versatile, the ingredients list is endless! Keep up the good job, I'll be tuned to this channel for sure! I wish you were in New Zealand so you could come to my Wellbeing Fairs to promote healthy living and better choices!

Thanks Tim. I tried this recipie and added half cup of Oats and a cup ofGronola to the mix when I took it out of the food process and this made the burgar a lot firmer and gave the burgers texture when you bite into the burger. The Gronola gives the burger that depth and you get something to chew down on. Great Burgar. ... 😄 Where's my Katchop !!!!!

I used 2 tbs oat flour in the mixture and baked them with out flour in an oven. They turned out really nice and crisp.Thank you for the recipe. Next time i will try it with white potatos.

Just made this burger with my son and it tasted amazing. We both loved it. Ive only been vegan six days and i feel like i have more energy already! I didnt think i would feel any benifits this soon 👍

Tried this yesterday and it was delicious! But I was to impatient to wait 40 minutes for the potato to roast in the oven, so i cut it into smaller pieces and boiled for a few minutes. It worked absolutely fine and saved me a lot of time :)

I love seeing you on FoodTube Tim :) I'm a vegetarian but most of my meals are vegan meals. You are such a motivation for me to become a vegan ! P.S. Where I live (Bulgaria) we really don't have sweet potatoes so I was wondering can I use regular or red potatoes ?

you could try and use any potato I guess, just maybe one that is good for baking and isn't too tiny. Still, good luck with it ;)

Denitsa Hristova I would try with pumpkin, regular potatoes have a different taste. But I'm sure you can find sweet potatoes in the supermarket, they're a bit pricey, though.

Yaaay vegan food. I tried making burgers at my friends house this one time, we put chickpeas and carotts in there, it tasted delicious but i love the sweet potato idea !!! Thank you guys

There is a similar veggie burger on Jamie's website. It's made out of corn and chickpeas, and you just oven bake it so no oil required.

Thanks for a fabulous recipe. I am definitely going to make this. Everyone seems to think you can't get adequate protein without meat, but with education and the right awareness of foods and nutrients, you can live very well as a vegan or vegetarian.

I tried this a year or two ago, and the burgers tasted great (a chunk of ginger goes really well), but they were a bastard to shape, and ended up falling apart. i'll put that down to shite technique, so i'm giving it another go tonight. love your work, Shieff.

Love to see the boy Shieff on TV... we don't have anyone doing this in the UK at the moment... Jamie Oliver did a great dirty vegan burger last week though which was nice to see for a change... we need more though, it's the way forward, I'm telling you!!!!
