So great to hear a recap of all you are doing and have done ... and it brought a smile to my face to hear your retelling of our campaign for the dolphins of Knott's Berry Farm ... I had forgotten some of the details. But what I do remember is how much I depended upon your clear thinking, your intelligence and sharp analytical abilities for all the many campaigns we engaged in together. Thank you for all you have done, with Orange County People for Animals, and all the many other groups you have worked with. You have done so much good for so many. I am a Biochemist, Scientist, Atheist and qualified Nutrition Adviser and became fully plant based 6 months ago, very late on in my 66 years. Aside the myriad health benefits I now feel including losing 14 pounds that proved impossible hitherto & restore my weight when I was 20, I feel much much better about my actions and animal cruelty and the environment. I am now advising, providing true information and showing others this alternative way. What a difference world we will have when this becomes the default.

When I first gave up animal products in the early 80s, I got Edensoy soy milk in LA from one store, soon I moved close to a Mrs. Gooches, and found more variety of vegan foods.

I admit, as a new vegan 30+ years ago, I didn't know or have access to Edensoy! I was a decade behind you. I would have had an entirely different cereal experience with soy milk than apple juice.

NMSU hey, we lived in Las Cruces for 19 years. I was in grad school at NMSU 1987, ,Dr Armstrong from Ag dept was my advisor

Armstrong doesn't sound right. Maybe. I most remember Hoffman, my biochemistry professor, and his assistant Doug Huizenga. Doug and I became slight friends until I left NMSU. I must have scrubbed the Animal Science professor's name from memory. It's been a long time.

This was a very insightful interview in learning the legality when navigating animal rights. Proud of him for walking away from the vet school. It's not a right or wrong answer as we do need more animal vets for farm animals but it necessitates causing unnecessary harm to animals in schooling for the degree 😢

what? nO. Buddhists are not necessarily Vegan, it's not mandated just like it's not in *any* religion. plus Buddhism in practice is I found to be, The #1 most violent religion in The world

I didn't know I can look up to anybody not to be self-agrandizing, but I have reached The moral ceiling as a Carnist being TOP in morality compared with other Carnists. now having pierced that moral ceiling, enter Veganism - I'm at BOTTOM ! The skies are wide

Lots of quite interesting stories here, Jerry. I dont agree that you have to buy something to be present on a business site. There are plenty of people who are there just for browsing, and that's legal, right?
