Summary - Step 1 Boil 2 tomatoes in 1/2 cup water for 10-12 minutes on medium flame. Then let them cool and grind them to puree. Boiled tomato puree is ready! Step 2 Add 3tbsp butter to a pan. Then add 3 tbsp of Maida to melted butter and roast for 2-3 minutes. Then add 1 cup of milk gradually and keep whisking on low flame. Then add 1/2 tsp oregano and salt as per taste. Mix and keep it aside. White sauce is ready! Step 3 Heat 2-3 tbsp cooking oil in a pan. Add 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic and saute for 30 seconds - 1 minute. Add 1 medium-sized onion to it and mix it till it becomes slightly golden. Then add Tomato Puree (Step 1) to it. Keep flame low - medium Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp chilli flakes and mix for 2-3 minutes. Add salt as per taste. Then add 2-3 tbsp water and 1/2 tsp sugar. Then cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Red sauce is ready! Step 4 Heat 2tsp oil in a pan. Add 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic and saute for 30 seconds - 1 minute. Keep the flame medium. Add 3/4th cup boiled sweetcorn, 2 finely chopped capsicums and 1 cup button mushrooms. Add a small-sized tomato. Then add 3/4th tsp oregano, 1 tsp chilli flakes and salt as per taste. Then keep flame medium to high. Cook until veggies are cooked yet crunchy and mushrooms lose water. Veggies are ready! Step 5 Roll 8-10 white bread slices after removing their sides. Heat a kadhai at medium flame for 10 minutes. Then add white sauce, red sauce, veggies and bread slices in different layers as per your wish. Use processed cheese or mozzarella or both in layers and on top. Garnish with spices and bake in a preheated kadhai for 10-15 minutes. Your Lasagna is ready! Hi , made this yesterday, it took me total of 2 hours ( right from peeling n chopping garlic to assembling) to make this lasagna for the very first time in my life!! It was totally worth all the efforts!!! Superb recipe, instructions and presentation. You include extremely minute details in your narration which really helps me. Keep going :) P.s skipped mozerella cheese, used carrot instead of mushrooms and used whole wheat flour instead of maida. Still tasted delicious!
