Pilaw or pilaf(now called pulao) was originated in central Asia. Indian spicy version of pilaf is called Biriyani. So you can say biriyani was originated in India.

Bharat bhai pulao ka asali maja to really mein ghi mein Banane par hi aata hai aur Pani Ka andaz sahi ho ... chawal ko soak kiya ho to perfect pulao banta hai just like you .... mere pulav banane mein bahut Sudhar aaya hai aapke videos dekhne ke baad thank you ...
