It's time for a new garden season and, for me, a new garden space! Since we recently moved, I'm thinking about things in a whole new way, including how we can incorporate more perennial plants into our garden and landscape. I finally got all of my seeds in the mail and I thought it would be fun to do a seed haul and show you everything I bought. I ordered my seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds because they have a lot of fun heirloom, historic, and rare varieties. I love growing fruits and veggies that you can’t get at the grocery store and you might not even be able to find at your farmers market. All of the seeds in this haul are new to me and I'm excited to see how they do in my garden this year. For a point of reference, I'm in Virginia in Zone 7.

Welcome back, I've missed your videos! I hope you and the family are staying safe and keeping well! Congrats on the new place (still in VA?) Nice haul, I think Baker Creek might be closed right now :( it's so hard to find seeds that aren't sold out. I'm so glad I have a big stash already. I can't wait to see how your garden grows this year!

Hope you're staying safe too! Yep, still in VA so climate will be the same for the garden. Yeah Bakers Creek and a bunch others have stopped taking new orders because they got an influx once things started getting weird. Not sure what the situation is at various stores. I haven't looked. I'm excited for the garden too!

Yay, super excited for the new garden space tour! I grow lemongrass in zone 4-5a (Moscow, Russia) as an annual and it does very well, with zone 7 I think it's guaranteed success. Unfortunately, my cat loves it as much as I do and plucks the younger seedlings out of the ground and munches on the leaves of the more established ones. It could be that mine is just a freak but I'm interested if your cats would single out this plant as well. :)

We have ordered 2 types of seeds in the winter. Italian round aubergine and chocolate brown bell peppers. We bought some seeds here and there. Because we start more seeds than we need, I am able to give some plants away! And that is often a trade.. I got a huge pile of seeds from one of those trades! So I have been seed-swapping a lot with the help of facebook groups!! It got so bad that I needed to buy a tin to store all the seeds!!! So next year we can try some other things! Also... Balcony... full.. cant sit outside this summer with more than 2 people... but thats fine.. Yay for fruits and veggies!

That's wonderful! Can't have too many plants. There's always someone who would be happy to have them. If you post any pics of your plants or harvests, definitely tag me! I'd love to see them.
