Reminds me of the old three wheel postal vehicles. Just weird enough to love.

Noe THAT is a sane idea for proper EV usage. A small around-town cart, which allows people to get to the other side of the city and back in all sorts of weather conditions. It's practical and reasonable. No huge worries about range.

stwrthnn In America it depends on speed (and engine size). 2 or 3 wheels can qualify as either a motorcycle or a scooter. Usually you have to keep it 35mph or less for it to be a scooter. And if it's registered as a scooter and you get clocked at 36, you're legally driving a motorcycle. Or illegally depending on insurance, license, tags. It can get ugly.
@gordonwiessner63276 жыл бұрын
Robert Pruitt If state governments can tax, tag and force special requirement for fees they will. The best way to get these vehicles into wide commuter use is to belay government red tape and interference. You buy the vehicle, than haggle with state bullshit it pushes the cost up to levels associated with full size vehicle operation. Also, Green Freaks that electricity you charge that vehicle with comes from some carbon based source in most cases. And don't forget that the chemicals used in the batteries are also toxic when dumped. I could except using one and would if it wasn't for the bullshit of my state about them. So, when you add in special fees and insurance requirements it cost an extra two grand to operate. Plus don't forget access to around areas these vehicles are barred from.

For stability these three-wheelers should have the 2 wheels in the front and the single one in the back. Otherwise there is a pretty big tip over hazard when turning corners.
@robyndaniels13812 жыл бұрын
Totally agree -plus it is ridiculous to expect a vehicle with such a small engine to carry 3 people - they usually have a maximum weight they can carry - and definitely only suitable on flat and won't make it up hills/slopes with 3 in it. Get outta here!
@JustWasted3HoursHere2 жыл бұрын
@@robyndaniels1381 I imagine that the main reason that they chose the configuration they did was because it's much cheaper to build since the steering geometry is very simple with only one wheel. I wish them the best of luck though. Lots and lots of EV start-ups in the world right now but only about 10% of them will actually survive over the next five years.

Based on the website specs, looks you're pulling about 60wh/km @72v with a 60Ah LiFePO4 pack -4320wh Vehicle weight is 390kg + 70kg for an average adult male so 460kg Range 72km @ 64kph? On a good day I get between 15-16 wh/km and my loaded vehicle weight is ~150kg with a 20ah/72v pack 1440wh Range between 90-100km I think the specs might be a little optimistic
