Ok, love your videos btw, but I want to clarify what's I'm this video. You started off paying with a CC. Then you mentioned LOC towards the end. Is this what you get from the banks? I'm a little confused on that part. The CC method has worked well for me but anything to save month will be helpful.

Hello Denzel I have a math and physics background, and I have taken some time to follow your presentation. I appreciate the time you have taken to make this video presentation. I want to first say that your method works, but you have to come up with a better way to present it. Everything still looked fuzzy even after watching this a couple of times. You are not taking the time to show your audience how you are coming up with some very important numbers, and you like most other presenters seem to be explaining conclusions or results rather than demonstrating how those results are obtained. It might also help if you start with a clean white board, and then develop your numbers as you go so that your audience can see for themselves where all the numbers are coming from, and most especially how they shrink their debt with time. Run that scenario for at least two or three months so that the pattern can be seen. That will make your explanation more concrete. I was personally able to understand velocity banking from studying a few articles on the subject after the videos failed to explain the concepts clearly. Once I understood it, then I saw how powerful the method was. I immediately started using it to pay off my car. It works. And to anyone struggling to understand this, looking at a detailed spreadsheet and following the numbers carefully will give you the understanding that browsing over the numbers will not give you.

I have started to use the Venmo credit card and Amex credit cards to make chunks and pay down debt with no fees and no interest. 2 player system required. Use Venmo card through venmo to send money to my spouse. Money is then sent to a debt to make a "chunk" payment. 30 days later she uses amex and the Amex send feature to send money back to me and I pay down the first card. I toggle between the two cards until they're paid to zero, then start again.

Both. But mostly how I've been paying down my debt. I put my check into my credit card right before it reports. I use my credit card after it reports. From that point on I have about a month before I have to pay my new charges off and it reports again. The goal is to not have a balance when it reports to avoid paying interest on top of interest. What good is $500 in my bank account if I'm going to get charged interet for having $500 balance on a card? If I pay the card off I still have $500 its just in credit.

I agree with you Capitol One is a fantastic company to work with!!! Do not confuse with Credit One i was offered a card from them and i made a typo when setting up the app on my phone, when I tried to correct it they closed my account and refused to give me any information about how I could correct it, locked me out of the app and told me to call them where I was informed the since I couldn't answer the security question (remember the typo!!!) But they would again tell me there was important info to check my app!! This happened 10 times in the last month I was charged an annual fee for a card I had for 2 weeks!! Im sending payment but the only way I can see if they get there is by watching my credit report!! Very dissatisfied with Credit One!+

Unless you're using a 0% interest debt weapon as you carry your chunk balance over from month to month; The savings you achieve by doing two 12k chunks in a year is neglible from paying a consistent $2k a month (cash flow) on your debt. It equates to a few hundred dollars a year in savings so what's really so special about velocity banking over just making extra payments over time in the same amount as the chunks?

In 2 examples Ive see you use 6000 of a 10000k LOC, is that the suggested ratio for chunking on loans? 60%? My concern is if I go too far and use too much of the LOC. Scary things start to happen in the back of my mind...
@N0body247

I have that card.. And i am doing a similar thing.. he would not need a new lOC for that 6 k debt.. I would CALL cap 1 and see if they could RAISE his card limit AGAIN.. from 3.5k to lets say 6k Then do a 3k balance transfer.. to pay off a portion of that loan, Should take him 6 months to pay off that B.T. then do it again.. for the remaining amount. Will he incur any fees for the b.t. NOPE. Just what ever interest is on the remaining balance. This does 2 things for him.. 1 it does not affect his age of accounts (worth 10 percent of score) and 2 it also does not affect any "weird" Credit card rules like chase's 5/24 rule on applying for them or amex or barclays rules. If he can get a NEW LOC.. C.O should be able to give him more on his card. If not.. THEN i would apply for a new line.. but not without trying to get that card limit raised again.. and tell them.. i want to do a balance consolidation.. but my limit wont cover all of it (at 3.5k) .. this gives them a REASON to increase the line... They should be happy to considering your moving debt into their court for THEM to make money off of, and your now a solid score with 1 debt left and all cc's at 0. So you have very little utilization (worth 35 percent of score). I love the quicksilverone for this balance transfer feature and high starting CL. Other than that.. solid math and i would agree on the rest.

@DenzelNapoleonRodriguez
@DenzelNapoleonRodriguez 5 жыл бұрын
Diana Aqra I would recommend 3-6 months of savings to cover all your expenses not just rent. With Velocity Banking we can accomplish this just simply by the amount of the credit limit on the line of credit. Another way is establishing a high cash value life insurance policy. I did this for myself and I have a years worth of savings in there to cover my bills for the year in case anything goes down I have that and I have a line or credit

This sounds good BUT, it doesn’t always work out this way. And you notice that at the end you need more credit (LOC) to pay off debt. I would just take the time to pay it off without the LOC. Maybe get a part time job if you can. OR, just take the LOC in the beginning and pay everything off including the credit card and use part of the cash to pay it off.

Would you only get the promotional offer out if you can pay off debt in full? I put all my debt on my miles credit card and pay that with my HELOC. The HELOC is funded with my salary. Downfall is that my HELOC won’t allow me to do monthly draft payments to those bills that won’t go on the credit card. So I do have to transfer money from one bank to the credit union where my HELOC is. I could change banks completely but I don’t really want to change to a credit union completely.

Hi. I really love Mr. Ramsey's concept. However, this gentleman is giving is more than just paying off our debt. This is the formula: Low/high cash flow + OPM - debt= accumulation. This is the consequence of using banking tools properly and carefully with your eyes WIDE open!! I set myself up, TO THE T, to follow Dave Ramsey. I was going to gazelle the shit out that debt. I was going to create a snow ball avalanche!!! In the process I became an obsessive, workaholic, green eyed monster. I lost focus of everything and became jealous of everything: time, family, co-workers, money. The consequences was sleep deprivation and hypertension! This is ME and not you! But this is what happen to me following Dave Ramsey.

@@vannessaspence3074 Well said Vanessa. I had signed up for Dave's step program. I was making the baby steps. Well, I thought I needed a Financial Advisor, I had a lot of credit card debt, so I got a local one from Dave's list of advisors. IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. The guy was giving me advice where I eventually would not have had a home. Nothing to leave my family - legacy. He was going to tie my retirement up in an insurance annuity and he didn’t have any strategies on how I could get out of debt (fast). Denzel, has made me wonder and hope and excited about trying velocity banking. Mike Adams too. These guys are life savers. I didnt get this from Dave Ramsey OR his financial advisor. BTW: that advisor caused me $1500 and didn't do nothing. I asked him about VB and if he could explain it to me. Still waiting to hear back from him (two months and counting,,)

Hello, thank you so very much for your time and extra efforts!!! I apologize for not catching this, but in your example, when making the final payments to LOC, are you suggesting to still pull out of LOC monthly for expenses (or just paying the LOC off with cash flow)? If so, I was just wondering what is the benefit to still pulling it out at that point since its costing interest? Thanks again - May God continue to Bless you!

You’re paying off the chunk over time using your positive cash flow. You make your required monthly payments using your monthly paychecks. This covers the minimum required monthly payment while also reducing the overall actual cost of using the line of credit. The only way this method makes sense is if the cost of using the credit card line of credit is LESS THAN the interest charged on any of the debts you are paying down/off. AND you time the payments to/on your credit card to get both the credit score boost and reduce the cost of credit used to run your expenses and make your chunks. I hope that makes sense. I also hope you were able to get an answer in your research. Cheers.

If depositor of money wants to take 100% money where bank lended 90% of his money to another? Is it possible? Not physical money. Atleast virtual in bank transfers? So using fractional reserve mechanism can I form multiple banks and deposit or lend in other banks I have and withdraw 10x more money?

What do you do when you don't have enough money from your cash flow or debt weapon to pay off a debt? Do you snow ball whats left after you pay your expenses, or wait until you can chunk a debt?

If you are referring to after a chunk has been made toward debt your next step is to simply bring your debt tool back down to zero or close to it get it ready for the next chunk. If you are negative cashflow then velocity banking will not work nor debt snowball.

Get a LOC with someone else. If you are approved for an LOC that charges for every withdrawal, they are screwing you over. Several banks offer LOCs, either personal (PLOC) or home equity (HELOC). Shop around and ask questions before signing up. You shop for other stuff. Don't be afraid to shop banks for the ones that offer the best options. I got a HELOC through 5/3 bank and it has a debit card attached and checks. No charge for using the LOC. Good luck!
