One of the reasons I upgraded the fork to an air fork was to drop some weight, she is heavy outta the box. I’m also converting the wheels to tubeless which should drop the weight a little more.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured the Summit 1 was priced right for me to start with and then build upon it over time as I ride more. I hit a stump pretty hard this morning and bent my left crank arm pretty badly. Pounded a rock against it to straighten enough to finish my riding and then stopped by the bike store for a replacement crank arm. I saw another reviewer that broke his forks, but so far they have been fine for my small jumps even with my 235 pound weight. I did notice that the bike is pretty heavy today though while out navigating some tight trails.

Velotric dropped a video recently showing how to swap to a suspension seat post. I would imagine a dropper post would be very similar to this. I just swapped out my handle bars to 60mm riser. I'm 5'11 and got the large size but TBH I feel like I should have got the regular. The reach is just a tad bit too far and the new handle bar helped a ton. Looking forward to any upgrades you might do a video on!

I'm 6'1 and had to get a riser. The reach is no joke. Also had to cut 1.5 inches down on width, way too wide, like pull up wide.

Just ordered one myself. Worried it might look too much like an e-bike. I'm trying to fly under the radar. Planning to gradually upgrade it with common improvements over time: dropper post, upgraded forks, tubeless tires, better derailleur, crankset, and brakes.

Ha, I worry about that myself. I actually reached out to the local manager of the main trail since a sign shows “no motorized vehicles” and he confirmed that eMTBs are allowed. I’ll go here most of the time, but also just discovered that King County says Class 1 and 2 e-bikes are now allowed on all county trails. I only ride this in Class 2 (trail) mode on the trails so am good to go.

No, my local trail network is The Trek at Tehaleh, www.piercecountywa.gov/6965/The-Trek-at-Tehaleh However, here is an article on the new rules allowing e-bikes and I see in the list that the SVT is included so you should be good to go. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/transportation/king-county-approves-use-of-e-bikes-on-regional-trails/ Thanks for watching the video and your question.
