Don't worry - they haven't changed for 140 million years and they don't need your help. The best advice to always keep in mind. If sealing themselves off, they are either stressed and want to be left alone, OR theyre preparing to molt/molting. All Tarantulas will do this from time to time, itll be okay! Bothering them while theyre buried is very stressful to them and the P.irminia especially likes to sit inside cork hollows, create a curtain of dirt around them, and be left alone. And don't worry they can go MONTHS without food! Ive had some go six months or more after closing themselves off.

@@Edward..de..lanndo Haha yeah it can be SUPER stressful in the beginning but as you dive deeper into the hobby, you begin to see patterns and know "oh okay this species does X when they are about to do Y". Its a steep learning curve, but be patient, try your best not too get too anxious although itll be VERY hard, and don't pester them too much during these phases and itll be fine! Hope this helps!

So, you have two options; You can unbury them but I don't recommend but you COULD or you can wait them out. The thing to know about Tarantulas is Ozzie could be buried without eating for up to a YEAR and be alive. Any water they need can often be acquired from the humidity of the very sealed off enclosure perspiring across the terrarium, so in short; you can unbury them and stress them out but know definitively if alive or dead, or take a chair and wait potentially 6 months for them to come back out, where theyll be thirty and hungry, but even in the BEST of scenarios? A Venezuelan suntiger will rarely be visible if you give them ample hiding places.

Secondly, I now know why my big brother no longer contacts me.... I asked him to many questions..🙃 Okdoky, I'm not going to dig Ozzie out, I don't want him to stress.... So a few minutes ago I put a tiny bit of twig over the hole if he comes out during any time I'm not around he will have to move it...its only a teeny light piece, so if its moved I'll be calm..if not, I'll just stress but be patient while I sit and eat bars of chocolate to compensate for said stress..... Who knows, he could be missing me, as much as I miss him...🤣 Ok so thanks again, I'll leave you, and Ozzie in piece. And if I ass the wee guy, I'll let you know....ta ta....🙃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
