Enjoy this video of the Venezuelans catching billions of hassar and bringing them to Guyana to sell. I caught up with them at the Boerasirie Creek, where they were wholesaling them to the vendors. I also bought two pounds for G$1000 and I enjoyed them when I made hassar curry. I also caught up with some other Guyanese fishermen who showed me their catch and also spoke of the challenges they were facing at sea. The said the creek needed clearing but it was subsequently cleared. I’ll also show you my fish vendors at Ruby who were making banga fillet. I purchased fresh trout and snapper from them. Do enjoy!

Hi Shabna. Was that Guyana water where the Venezuelan was catching the hassar? Why not the Guyanese Fisher men ? I am a fish 🐟 person, not so fond of meat. I don't get our type of fish to buy over here. When are you going to do a Berbice trip, Shabna? My home county .Thanks

There are some places where it's a free for all. When there is nothing left and too late to do anything then they look at the sky and wonder what happened. Same goes with the soil, they plant and harvest and plant again with no replenishment of the soil. When nothing grows anymore they abandon the ground and move somewhere else . Or they run to other countries claiming refugee status.
