Tbh I feel the same way. "5 new levels... in Vengeance" has "In Vengeance" feeling like a huge asterisk for me, even ignoring the fact that it's the current newest game in the series. I'd rather have a single new level in Frontiers than a dozen new levels in Vengeance. I'm still gonna purchase and play the Hammerhold DLC though.

Oh boy...there's a lot unpack here. There's a lot to be said for Ironhide genuinely making some effort to improve on the existing Kingdom Rush Vengeance game in the new DLC. Personally, if people choose not to buy it, that's on them, and there judgement of it shouldn't be taken as seriously as those who've actually spent the money, played through the levels, and overall experienced what the update has to offer. While I understand you believe KRV to be a lost cause, I personally think that with enough time, effort, and patience, the game can be turned into something as good as if not better than the other Kingdom Rush games. With that being said, while I'm hopeful that this DLC is definitely a step in the right direction, even if it turns out to be amazing, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to fix everything else wrong with the game. I will happily support any game Ironhide chooses to release to the general public (at least on Steam/Android anyways lol), so they can continue to support their own families, provided that whatever we're being given is worth our money. :)

Oh boy...there's a lot unpack here. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Kingdom Rush Vengeance. The wave design is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of tower defense theory most of the strategies will go over a typical gamer's head. There's also Vez'nans nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Keegan-Michael Key literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of vengeance's gameplay, to realise that it's not just balanced- but that it says something deep about GAMING. As a consequence people who dislike Kingdom Rush Vengeance truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Asra's existential catchphrase "You think darkness is your ally?" which itself is a cryptic reference to Christopher Nolans epic Dark Knight Rises. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ironhide's genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

Hey i love ur videos. They are fun and im so happy because the update. I played kr since i was a kid on my phone.

On top of all the potential gameplay changes I'm just happy Vengeance is actually going back to its central premise and basing campaigns off of previous games. Even though the tower's supremely mid it was so hype to get to play as the deep devils and fight an honestly equally cool new faction in subaquatic menace, and the hammerhold dlc is finally returning to that same appeal instead of having you play as some random mammoth boi fighting legally-distinct elora

My take is, the more Ironhide experiment with Vengeance the better KR5 will be. Their first 3 games are very samey, the same thing won't be engaging forever.

This feels like when Dark Souls players were getting so hyped about the DS remaster that they were unironically hoping that Izalyth would be “fixed” and that fromsoft was going to completely remake the second half of the game from scratch. Like…no. It’s hard to feel bad these people were disappointed when their desires were so out of touch with what was actually reasonable and plausible for fromsoft to do. I feel like that’s same situation we find ourselves in with vengeance. It’s just so flawed and so many fundamental ways, that’s the only way to make it better would be to completely scrap it and rebuild it from the ground up. Vengeance didn’t come out yesterday, it’s an old game at this point. They’ve had plenty of time to fix it and it hasn’t been done. Maybe I’m just a pessimist, but to me, it feels like creatively speaking Ironhide wants to move away from KingdomRush, but can’t because of how valuable the IP is. Asking for so much for a game This old just isn’t likely to pan out imo. If it was going to, it would’ve happened a while ago.

I was truly hype that Kingdom Rush got some updates, eventually this one. but.. what i saw at steam, people keep insulting or forcing Ironhide to make more level, since it does make sense. Okay let's say $8 for five level that were available on game and also a tower (that seems like neither are good enough) and a hero, it's just not that satisfying for $8. (Dont check the steam commentary, you wouldnt like it) Alr, let's not talk about the price. We know we have some issue not with the "expensive" DLC but with the level. Kingdom Rush is all everyone favorite since each one of the level is godly good. From what i see in trailer,it seems like they spent all the budget focusing on detail instead Level itself, but focusing on every each detail on the campaign and DLC it does not wrong, since all Kingdom Rush average all fans of this game only care about graphics rather than challenging levels. In conclusion, I never dissapointed to Ironhide when they try their best to release a game. But for this once, We can't just form our own opinion. because the final results are not yet available, let's just wait to see whether the level will increase or remain at 5 levels in the future. Even so, i will keep observing until its worth to play. I was already disappointed with IronHide because there is no Android or PC version of JunkWorld, and here it comes another DLC with 5 level only and with the cost of $8, i rethink my decision to buy it. Sorry for my bad english :)

In all honesty, the last few updates were kinda mid, they barely brought in anything new to the table. Im worried about the update because some enemies look like ripoffs of already existing ones. However the gimmicks do look interesting and i cant wait to fight the new mini bosses

I hope Ironhide understand problems in Vengeance and they will do something about this game to make it better. As a person who is 10 years in kr fandom, i can say that vengeance is the worst of the kr franchiece. I really want some changes in Vengeance and i hope Ironhide will listen to community.

I wanted to see Hammerhold troops and heores again so when it was announced that you get to kill them, it hurts. I really don't think antagonizing so many of your own popular characters is a good idea. In the end, I can't buy it anyway.
