Guru ji, I was elated, after preparation of idli milagai podi first time, it's tasty, I couldn't believe myself that I can able to make idli podi. Thank chef ji. Usually I buy readymade packs. After seeing your video I tried, come out well. I am happy.

Dear sir, I am 26 now..untill you start the youtube channel i never show any interest to learn cooking since that my parents and my relative always scold me...once i watch your uppuma receipe and i impress with your teaching method and i tried in my home....you don't beleive that eversince in my life that was the fantastic uppuma i tasted... whenever my mother get sick we used to always buy foods from outside while my relative always scolding me for i am unable to cook and support my family....last time my amma was hospitalized for 3 days...I am the person cooked 3 days 9 meals with your help..... now i really get interest to cook for myself and others... I wanna thank you from my heart to inspire me to learn and make food from scratch... lots of love from srilanka

Hi chef, tried this fantastic Podi Idly for dinner tonight! Have been a lot of instances we've loved the podi of certain hotels and wanted to recreate at home! This home made Podi idly is effortlessly the best! Sooo easy to make, sooo delicious to have! I'm 21 and a lot credit into my cooking interests go to your recipes! இதே அளவுகளோட நீங்க சொன்ன மாதிரியே செய்தேன்...ஆனா ஒன்னே ஒன்னு பூண்டு மட்டும் போட்டேன்...கருப்பு (பொட்டு உளுந்து) உளுந்து , கருப்பு எள்ளு போட்டேன்....கலர் dark வந்தது....ஆனா ஆஹா.... ஆஹா....ஆஹா.....அரைக்கும் போதே எச்சில் ஊறுச்சு...உடனே அரைத்ததும் இரவு 12 மணிக்கு மேல இருக்கும்...தோசை ஊத்தி (சிறுதானியங்கள் + பயறுகள் கலந்து அரைத்த மாவு ) சாப்பிட்டேன்....ராகி ரொட்டி தொட்டு சாப்பிட்டேன்...அவ்வளவு அருமை.......செம test....thank so..... ...much........sir.....

Usually I made idly podi at home..This time I tried ur receipe..my kids enjoyed a lot tis time..I enjoyed the flavour of seasame seeds.. u told simple recipes u did now..tat ll reach fast common people like me..we can do all ur receipes with home ingredients..I think u r going into the right path..hats off u sir..congrats fr all ur success..Again I hav to mention one thing..most of ur fans r came from CWC..but me..Venkatesh Bhatt idhayam thotta samayal to CWC..viceversa 😀😀

I add little bit of jaggery and use rock salt . I put the salt ( கல் உப்பு ) in the hot kadai after switching it off. While roasting I sprinkle little salt so that there is no pungent smell. ( நெடி)

True but some recipes have unnecessary procedure. Watch his curd rice. So cumbersome. Simple curd rice with simple tadka with small mangoes pieces(of course during season) tastes yummy.

Use thick based iron tawa to avoid blackening of seeds and dals... Looks like this steel pan is not suitable because those til, Chana Dal got blackened after roasting... Such blackened seeds and dals will lessen the taste of the final powder!

Not blackening, but browning. The idea is to remove moisture so that maximum flavor is released (he specifically mentioned it). To prevent blackening on regular steel pan, when it starts smoking too much, remove from flame and allow ingredients to roast only with heat from pan. I use steel pan and my dry roast never blackens. Try it.

பார்க்கும்போதே சாப்பிட வேண்டும் போல உள்ளது. சமையலில் radius and circumference கொண்டு வந்து சமைத்து க் காட்டும் ஒரே chef sir மட்டும் தான். மிகவும் ஸரத்தையோடு சமைக்கிறீர்கள்

Venkatesh, your Idly powder recipe, looks like a typical Madhwa household recipe. My grandmother is used to make almost like this but instead of mixie ,the whole mixture was hand pounded.

I prepared idli milaga podi as per ur video .. my god the taste was awesome... I also made parupu podi with garlic.. I always thought adding garlic will make the powder soggy but I was amazed when it turned out fine powder... Thank u so much sir for sharing all these recipes with us..
