Here I am walking in the city of Venlo in the Netherlands in August 2022 on a cloudy summer day. The city lies close to the border with Germany and is situated in the province of Limburg. We start our walk at the picturesque river Maas which is in front of the city center. Then we continue to the market and city hall where you can see many beautiful cafe's and restaurants. Afterwards we will explore various streets and alleys within before reaching the river Maas again. Venlo is home to countless stores, including Primark, H&M, The Sting, New Yorker, Sport 2000 and many more. No matter if you feel like taking enough time to browse the whole store, or if you just need something quickly and know exactly where to find it - this is the place to be. It also houses a large number of historic buildings, the origins of which date back to the days of the Romans. New concepts and old buildings: the downtown district of Venlo is home to a large number of historic buildings, the origins of which date back to Roman times. But other epochs have also left traces behind in Venlo. Venlo received the title of 'best city center in the Netherlands' in the category of 'medium-sized cities' from 2013 to 2015.
