many years ago when i was just getting in to metal i brought this vhs and this introduced me to jack Daniel's and i have never looked back since just turned 50 still a metalhead and proud

You fools. They are Black Metal. Just because there no corpse paint or shrieked vocals, doesn't mean it is not Black Metal. Venom is First Wave Black Metal. And the First Wave sounded pretty thrashy. The corpse paint and shrieking was more with the Second Wave Black Metal

EXACTLY, I say Venom is to Black Metal, what Black Sabbath is to Heavy Metal, the 1st official band of their genre. Then Bathory is to Black Metal, what Judas Priest is to Heavy Metal, they molded and perfected the genre into what we recognize it as today. Know What I Mean?

Of course I do, I love Venom for not taking themselves so damn serious! I'd bet they'd be fun to hang out with. Just remembered the Radio commercials, or the "Aaaargh"-song :D I said it before and wont hesitate to do so again: I'd lay down MY soul to the Gods Rock'n'Roll anytime!

Yeah, anyone who denies that First Wave is true black metal is an idiot. Venom, Mercyful Fate, Bathory, Sodom, all great black metal bands. I like some of the second wave stuff too though.

@ejokurirulezz - The first band to name their style as Black metal was VENOM. if not 99% of the neo-wave-of-black metal never existed, althought their sound more like Bathory.

He always had one. He’s not speaking in his fully natural voice here. He’s speaking more theatrical/creepy, so that’s why you don’t hear his accent as much.
