I thought this would have been in atleast hundreds of thousands of views and subscribers.. I became massively inspired to paint the protagonist & leader of men here. The quality, lenght and mostly all in the video are very professional & engaging, bravo!

Could it be that his name was Vercingetto, and that when he became chieftain the title Rex/Rix was added to it? Vercingetto Rex?

His name is Cingeto, Ver was a Gallic word for king, and Caesar in his book added the suffix « Rix » to honour him.

@@ajasilikonreffkmimmonRix is Gaulish for king (cognate with Rex). It’s a common suffix for Gaul kings. Ver meant something akin to “great”.

Great video! You do have to admit it's pretty funny though that the foundational story of French national identity is about a guy who surrendered.

Never heard of inspiring martyrs? That's what Christianity based its entire shtick around after all.

I don't think Vercingetorix spoke in Latin.

I really wish we had more ancient Gallic perspective on it all, it’s a pain wading through Caesar’s propaganda! Have to say though, it’s still a powerful speech

That background music is out of place here. It's Gaul, not Scotland

KZfaq advertisements of almost 2mins long are simply obnoxious and making your video unwatchable - have a thumbs down
