Beo and Brie were my two amazing American bulldogs. Loyal, loving, driven to please, only barked when there was good reason. I was blessed every day I had them. Brie lived eleven years, Beo just passed yesterday after 16 and 1/2 years. My heart won't stop aching, I'm looking for a pup and will not consider any other breed. There are lots of great breeds out there but American bulldog will forever be the breed for me. Rest in peace Beo and Brie, Daddy misses you so much.

What an awesome dog that is! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better looking American bull dog the classic breed is a beast!!! You have the best looking and as far as what they are supposed to look like you have it nailed. What perfect specimens you have built. Thanks for giving me a look into this breed. So impressive!

I have a German boxer and he's on a strict raw diet and is 98 lbs. and people mistake him for a bull dog a lot I've raised boxers all my life however I do love the bully breeds they're awesome dogs 🐕 ❤️ 💯

Had a neighbor for a couple years who had a Johnson AB. He and my RottX were pals, and had to see each other every time they were out at the same time. When we got about a 100 yards away on the way home, Rocky would see us and start screaming for us. Seriously, here's this big blocky muscular AB sounding like someone stepped on a little yipper. It was amazing.

This just makes me want one even more. I already liked them, I mean, I have a pitbull, obviously I like dogs of this build. I’ve been considering my second dog, that eventually I’d like to breed with my pit, and the more I look into the bulldogs the more I want one lol. The American Bulldog and American Pitbull Terrier mix looks exactly like what you’d think. What can I say? I like misunderstood things 😂.

The best thing about the bulldog is its personality everyone I ever met. And they're intelligent. I wish I could have one or I could afford one I'll keep my little beagle😅😅🐕

My American Bulldog passed away in December. She was almost 14 years old. I also have a little Beagle. They were best friends. My Beagle loved laying on her back. The two were such good friends!

I seen one of his classics that to me looked like it could do with an out cross of Standard. That muzzle to me looked abit to short and the neck to exaggerated. Give it an out cross of Standard blood (Providing its reasonably healthy) and the pups might come out really nice. Maybe best of both worlds.

Never heard of the term “Classic” American Bulldog. There are 3 types not just two. Johnson, Painter/Scott (standard) and Hybrid which is a mix of the two. The Standard or Painter/Scott AB is actually the more “classic” of the two as it came before the Johnson type. The Johnson type did not come around until the 60’s or 70’ when Johnson added Bullmastiffs, St. Bernard and other breeds into the already existing Painter/Scott Standard AB’s. Which is the reason why the Johnson type AB’s are bulkier and have short muzzles. There is nothing “classic” about the Johnson type so I do not understand where this name/labeling comes from.

Classic is just a term for ignorant potential buyers to pay extra. He produces nice healthy dogs but money is a big factor here. Same goes for Grandfuturekennels with those abnormal prices. Johnson, Scott and also Matthews bred other breeds in to their dogs fofor looks, build or color. Early Johnson dogs are the hybrids of today when it comes to looks and build. These "classic" dogs clearly had St Bernard bred into them. Scott breeders used Great Danes thats why you have some huge Standard dogs nowadays. Matthews was the only one who was open about his outcross breedings when he wanted a black dog. Painter, Hines, OWE, Alapaha, OSW, The Brindle Bulldog or the Big Reds cant be called American Bulldog cause the "real" American Bulldog breed started with Johnson and Scott. Both of them registered their foundation dogs Tiny and Mac the masher as American Bulldog but they were more likely to be OSW or Brindle.

Actually. Johnson and Scott are the names of the breeders and their specific bloodlines. Not type. Type is. Classic, standard and hybrids. Just being honest

What's a good dog food for a bulldog to gain weight.

Taste of the wild 415 calories in a cup. Bully Max has 500 in a cup. But I recommend getting a healthy dog food over a high calorie dog food. You can buy dog safe peanut butter, lean ground beef or turkey, raw eggs olive oil, cod liver oil, cocnut oil, salmon oil, pumpkin seeds raw, chia seeds, warm oatmeal, red cell liquid vitamins, goats milk or bone broth. These items are not only healthy but if you look at the nutrition facts on these items, they are high in calories.

You can also make satin balls using a little bit of these ingredients. Give satin balls 3x week. If you increase the calories a little more, then sometimes give them a banana, apple cider vinegar, and flax seeds. Let me know how everything goes.

Classic/bully type. Not Johnson bro. Scott and Johnson are bloodlines man. Types are classic/bully type, and standard/working type. Classic have under bites and standard have scissor bites. Classic with the short muzzle aren't good swimmers and can actually drown. Standard are great in water / and hunting. Both are superior protection/family dogs because of their natural instincts to protect their pack/family.
