In case of a fire, most companies mandate the access control doors to unlock, in order to allow for the quick escape of people inside. In this video I will show you how the Verkada access control can be connected to your fire alarm system, and describe how the system behaves.

🗒️ Verkada FACP integration:
➡️ The first generation controller, AC41, allowed only for a software integration, utilizing the AUX casette
➡️ The second generation AC42 and AC62 have a dedicate fire alarm interface, that can automatically transform all the wet relays (doors powered by the controller) into dry ones
➡️ Make sure any fail secure doors have manual egress, as the controller won't supply power to it for the duration of the fire
➡️ The controllers also have latching capabilities, in order to safeguard for situations where the fire burns the circuits and inadvertently restores power to the relays
