Great info I have done numberous fire alarm to access door release. Always use one addressable relay (normally open) and tie down to the REX( the contact your using) input of access control panel. Short on alarm and jump around to all doors in parallel. Opens all doors on alarm. Nice work!!!!

Hello M_Lopez have you had any experience simulating a loss of power to the FA panel? This is part of a fire Marshall request and I’m trying to figure out how one can do this via programming only and not removing power cabling.
@DawidKellerman2 жыл бұрын
@@matthewpadula1731 If you have the access control power to locks from on power supply you can add a relay from the fire panel to be closed in that power circuit - locks working and if there is a power failure it will release the locks when releasing the relay. I am also just learning this so I might be wrong. I have some PLC experience there they teach if its life/limb safty the connection should always be active and only in the emergency event should it be broken. reasoning is if the wires get broken you will know you system has failed if it is a open system you will not know that until you energize and need it.

Hello, thank you for your informative video. I have a question that a fire inspector asked me. How could you via programming simulate a loss of power the fire alarm panel. Upon loss of power to the fire alarm panel, the mag locks are supposed to de-energize. My problem is that the FA panel is commissioned so I don’t want to remove wiring and disconnect cabling to the FA Panel. In this scenario could I somehow add a N.C relay, where once power to the fire alarm panel is lost, the N.C relay would close and cause a control relay to turn on which can in turn be used to program the de-energization of mag locks?

Be careful with these standard Chinese access control systems that use 125khz RFID for access. These cards or tags can be easily created or duplicated with simple tools that can be purchased online.
