Another great course. You mention that you can use acabar or terminar. Is this similar to English, where you could say end, finish, terminate, etc depending on how you want to phrase something?

Paul you are doing a great job teaching. It’s hard because in Spanish some words have multiple meanings which is confusing. For example this word “acabar” it means: to end up, to finish , it ends itself (those are similar), but the mining of “I just “ is tooooo confusing. Poor Spanish language🤔

I was listening to the Gospel of John in Spanish, on KZfaq, and was thrilled when "the wine ran out" and I understood the Spanish expression w acabar. Normally, I would have pieced together the meaning, since I know the story, anyway. But this time I got it -- direct from the narration! Great fun! ... How would I say: "I wouldn't want to end up like that"? ... I think I know because you've taught "like that" in earlier lessons, but since it's an idiom, I'd like to be sure. THANKS for all you do for us!

At 13.21 you indicated the correct word order was - no me gusta como se acaba la peli - but why should the -la peli- be at the end?

With 'Tengo que terminarlo hoy' can the 'lo' sort of float around in this sentence ? For example 1> 'Tengo que lo terminar hoy' or even 2> 'Lo tengo que terminar hoy' . Love these lessons !

May be it´s split hairs but at least in Argentina, "terminar" or "finalizar" are most common because "acabar" has a sexual connotation.

Is there a rule about when an article or pronoun is needed before a noun? Note how "in life" becomes "in la vida" so the "la" is inserted. In trying G. Translate, on "put on boots", we get "ponte botas" without an article prefixing "botas?" Is the rule in Spanish something like "use an article or pronoun in front of every noun?"
