I bought reef octopus cr140 duel chamber and I love calcium reactors best way to go

Any issue with noise? I find that there’s too much gas/co2 in the recirculation line and pump is chopping the gas and resulting in a noisy setup

Nice quality, but good luck with the pump when it fails. Mine is now sitting in the closet as I can't replace the pump

Mark Stubblefield isn’t it just a standard pump? I have never had a pump foe before. Only an impeller shaft

It’s a sicce but they glued in the connector. I can’t find the replacement connector to make a replacement pump and their support is not great internationally

It’ll usually rattle, too. It’s the only weak link in that whole setup. I’m still using the secondary chamber with my new carx though

only reason why I went with another brand was the fear of a pump leak. Too many reviews mention it IMO.

I read a few of those but havent seen them in a long time,. i suspect it was something not lined up in the plumbing! We will find out soon once the tank shows up :P My buddy has on running besides his sump issue free so i'm not overly worried about it.

Like the vertex but read some negative things on this setup on reef2reef. I have to go back and get see what it was.

I planning to upgrade to calcium reactor but somebody told me I have to use kalk to keep my ph stable. It a very nice calcium reactor I have reef octopus cr 140 5.5" dual. Do you think that calcium reactor it too big for my 90 gallons reef tank

Its a smidge big but you can just lower your flow through it.. future expansion! Some people does kalk to raise PH when using a calcium reactor. This reactor has dual chambers which helps use up more co2 and increase the PH of your effluent.

I've been thinking of switching to a Calcium Reactor. Torn between the Geo and Vertex. A local reefer is selling a Vertex for a great price. Decisions Decisions.

Used at a great price sounds like a win for me! I'm trying to simplify the new tank a bit and i do like how you can add mag chips and have everything dosed all in one 24/h per day! There is something nice about the simplicity balanced approach

If the co2 tank ever fails/explodes home owners insurance companies won't cover it because the tank was "altered". That's what they say in the US though
