I have entered Thailand over 20 times in the last 15 years at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang. The first time buying alcohol and tobacco products at these duty-free stores was the last time I did that. Prices were not competitive when compared with Singapore. Closure of airport Duty-Free in Thailand will not be missed by me.

About the COD. I had a suspect package delivered and I opened it in front of the courier. It wasn’t what I ordered so I told the courier I refuse it and to send it back. Well let’s just say, the Thai attitude kicked in of the Soi 6 variety Long story short, my girlfriend got involved after the courier left with my money and his employers bought him back for a grovelling apology and financial compensation. So saying inspect your goods is all well and good in theory but be prepared for what will come next

These guys are smugglers and not pirates as they're shipping illegally to avoid duties and not stealing. Recovering your own property is neither theft nor piracy, it's repossession, but if the police have it’s definately audacious and probably even a little bit naughty.

Electric cars are finished. Sales are plummeting. Unreliable, expensive, dangerous and they have larger environmental damage than a gas powered car.

That doesn’t appear to be stopping anyone. People are also incentivised to buy them as well. Subsidies, free charging at work etc

Electric cars are okay for some people. Trying to force a large population to adopt a technology that is not the right choice is bound to collapse. It's still early maybe they can fix some of the bigger problems limiting people from buying one when it is the right choice.

The uk is slowly phasing out the incentives of ev’s such as the congestion charge and soon their taxation will be the same as regular fuelled cars minus the fact that at least the regular cars have some equity in them when you come to sell

The developement of EV technology will continue. At this time there are a lot of bugs to work out, and it is a big political issue that belongs to the elite class, like it is a precious thing.

Another short-circuit in a water fountain. Read about a school student dying last week from same problem. There is a history of deaths and problems from wiring faults. Electrics not so good in Thailand - visitors be aware.

@@keithgutridge7259 Yes indeed mate and it is a regular thing here - their standards are terrible. A few years ago a young child was killed on Pattaya beach when we dug up a power cord that was connected live. When walking on the paths (what there is of them here) I never touch any pole or metal object - you never know what is live.

@@AussieBob999 when I wired my house, live neutral & earth back to the consumer unit with earth spikes ( all correct to UK standards) Couldn't believe they wanted me to take out all the earthing and run the neutral in to ground before they would connect the power, man it's so dangerous here

Even the manufactures say they only last 8 to 12 years, and they are bound to stretch that time frame. Teslas maybe last 10 to 15 years, anything Chinese never lasts as long as you hope, or plan.
