I did consider it but wanted to keep it looking stock and keep the cost down. Much of the hardware and trim was reused after a considerable amount of elbow grease. -KS

Vespa Motorsport - fair, although the SIP unit does look pretty stock. I fitted one because I couldn’t get hold of a decent stock unit for a reasonable price after mine broke

@@c7uk how good does your gas gauge work though?

Fabs 15 - it’s accurate in as much that it only has ‘quarter tank’ increments. When the light comes on I know I can still get home from work and then fill up. Funnily enough, a broken fuel gauge on my stock unit is what prompted the replacement

Scooter already had the registration in place from many moons ago. A 2 stroke registered in CA is truly rare.

Bike was $800.00 , Trim is coming in around $700.00. Accessories $300.00 w/o GPS and modified front rack. Paint was $1200.00 but I did most of the prep to save on time. A good paint job is usually in excess of $2000.00 front suspension and brakes are about $300.00. Building the motor was well over 2,400.00. We'll let you do the math but over $5000.00 not counting the countless hours spent fitting and fettling. -KS

@@vespamotorsport253 Huh thats not horrible for what your trying to do. I kinda expected to hear a higher number. I dont have the expertise to do this kind of work. Would love to but man shop time to pay someone else would be pricey.

@@BOYVIRGO666 I sold my 62 Lambretra TV 175 III about 8 years ago for $3,200. I had much more than that in her. Don't try to find 1 for 2K. They are out there, just have to pay. Trust me it's worth buying one done already.
