Their history channel explains the songs that they sing. Yesterday was the singer's birthday (Oct.5). My son and I saw them last Oct.5 best concert EVER!!!!! I was 56 and there were people older than me there and a lot of young teens whose parents brought them there. I guess after the election, they'll open up the country again and we'll be able to go to concerts again. Y'all would really enjoy them live. Watch the Bismark video, really any of their music is great. A lot of great songs about the U.S. military.

Sabaton has the most amazing ability to show respect the humanity behind the horror. So, they may sing with equal reverence about the Allies and also the Red Baron. How is that possible? Because they focus on the _human_ element of the conflicts, not the ideologies, their music accepted and enjoyed by all. Such skill!

As a Veteran myself, Sabaton is one of my favorite bands. They do so many good songs about war history and combat. I don't know if you are Army or Marines, but they do songs about both. "Devil Dogs", "82nd All the Way" (about SGT Alvin York), "To Hell and Back" (About Audie Murphy), and so many more.

i gotta say . I watch a lot of reaction videos. Watching you two as US Vets react to a song about American heroes...and to see the look on your your faces indicating that you were transported back and identified with the soldiers of the 101st more than any anyone who has not been through what you have been through could have was incredible. If there is any band who cherishes and respects the history of warfare and the people who have fought in the conflicts that have shaped history it is Sabaton....regardless of gevernmental or political affiliation. They speak for the soldier...and their contributions. Mad props to you both...not only for your service to our great nation...but for embarking on a journey that could potentially give you an outlet for what you experienced.

@@p3chv0gel22 it relays patriotic feelings for Americans. Much like most songs Sabaton does they bring pride and patriotic feelings to any country's history they sing stories about. That's what I mean, not that Sabaton would feel particularly patriotic over this song, that would be weird 😂

Sabaton songs are military history... from Sparta to more recent! Sweden has compulsory military service for school-leavers, same as Finland. They probably did at least 1 year. Daniel Mulback was the drummer with Sabaton until early 2012, Hannes (eventually Floor's husband) joined in late 2013.

Screaming eagles is a great place to start with Sabaton, that song doesn't quit from the moment it kicks off. Very Intense, also, that first round hitting in the beginning always get me to jump no matter how much I know it's coming, man. Screaming Eagles was the first song I ever heard from Sabaton. It was mindblowing experience. More mindblowing was that they had albums full of even better songs.

Sabaton stance on war is prity uncommon because they aren't pro war but they aren't anti war and these songs are primarily written to keep the memory and the bravery of these men's deeds alive so they aren't forgotten

101st Airborne Division with unofficial name Screaming Eagles is an army division in the US Army, mainly trained for air landing. The band is from my country Sweden.

“Can we go back to war” haha Funny enough: WW1 - signing and orchestral music was its background WW2 - a mix of new (at the time) modern records and a bit of blue/swing Korea - Jazz and the Blues Vietnam - 70s and 80 music Gulf - 90s music Iraq and Afghanistan - early 2000 and late 90 music with some classics from the 70 and 80s WW3 - Sabaton shall be the the soundtrack

Also for your question at 7:50... no they are not veterans; just very humble, very respectful, and well educated of the subject matter they sing about... got a whole History Channel here on youtube with Indy Neidell, really great stuff. They got songs from battles throughout recorded history and they go into some very touchy, very triggering topics... Like Rommels Ghost Division, the russian Night Witches, The Red Baron... or my personal favorite The Ghost In The Trenches: Francis Pegamahgabow... 82nd all the way about Alvin York shreds too... so does Camouflage about vietnam... Devil dogs.. bismark... 40:1 about the Polish defense at the outset of WWII... Resist And Bite from the Argonne shortly thereafter... Saboteurs about the swedish Commando's who took out a deuterium facility preventing Hitler from getting atomic weaponry... And let's not forget Fields Of Verdun... with Apocalyptica of course because CELLO! The Attack of the Dead Men... 100+ gassed Russians driving back 12 battalions of Germans at Osewicz Fortress.. Price of a Mile.... which they have an answer for from 1914.... they can tell you all about it themselves... Light In The Black... about the peacekeepers and peacemakers but really it's about any and all Soldiers and Military Personnel in general.... moves my bitch ass to literal schoolgirl tears... and I'm not ashamed of that at all...

Saboton is not political but they are all about the sacrifices of soldiers thru out history and accuracy of historical events, some well known while other events, battles sacrifices are lost thru history, Saboton wants to educate as well as entertain. They are amazing live, there videos are high quality & accurate to the story, Try these videos, Bismarck, Price of a Mile, Metal Machines, Ghost Division, Winged Hussars, Attack of the Dead Men, They also have Saboton History topics are generally about the story behind the songs. You know you're rocking out at a perfect level to a Sabaton song if your headset comes off your head. (I love the band, but sadly it's one of the only ways I ever learned about military history at all, because my school and so on NEVER taught it. Basically had to self-study or do research since I was ten to learn about it, as well as learn writing on my own since the school I went to expected you to just already know how.)

Hey men, did you know that the current drummer for Sabaton is the husband of Floor Jansen from Nightwish. His name is Hannes Van dahl and he kicks ass on the drums. This video still has the old drummer in the band. This band writes songs about war conflicts from every country. The usually take movie clips for their videos. Sabaton is from Sweden. Great reaction video my vet friends. Peace.

Most of the members have done basic military service since it was mandatory for a lot men when they turned 18 in Sweden until 2009(when they removed it and made it voluntary) so if you were 18 years old you had to do 6 to 15 months unless they found during the day of testing that you had medical problems or if you did not reach the minimum standards.

They find theyre writing inspirations from real wars and real war heroes. To give them, the soldiers the credit and honor that they deserve. Sabaton is also at History Channel. Check it out 😃🙌🏼🇳🇴

This is their song about the battle of Baston in which the German commander rained artillary on the 82nd Airborn and then sent a message for them to surrender, to which the American commander replied "Nuts" the German commander didnt understand. They fought through and conquered the town. I bet the reply "nuts" is supposed to mean "Not Understanding Terms of Surrender".

Awesome video, amazing song!), "Devil dogs" (official music video. About the U.S Marines in WW1. The footage is from the North American tour last year), "To hell and back" (official music video. It's about Audie Murphy, American war hero, WW2), "Seven pillars of wisdom" (official music video. About Lawrence of Arabia, WW1), "Lion from the North" (official music video. The song is about a badass Swedish king. The footage in the video is from the European tour 2019/2020) and "Carolus Rex" (official lyric video, English version. It's about another king of the Swedish empire).

If you loved this song you should look up their other songs. all the songs are about historical battles like the song Primo Victoria is about DDay and storming the beaches of Normandy. But they have a channel called "Sabaton History" where they talk about the historical event that inspired the song. Great video and I want today God Bless you both and Thank you for your Service. My Grandfather was a Tank Driver in the Korean War and he was in the 62nd Tank battalion and he would tell me all about it when I was younger so that's when I found out I loved military history. The video was mad in conjunction with the game World of Tanks. They came out with a Special Swedish tank for the Band which had the Band Members as the Tank Crew. So if you don't play the game I understand why you wouldn't like it. I just love how Sabaton are so into History they are working to get in with the younger Generation to get them to realize the past. Cause I always feel if you don't learn History you are bound to repeat it. But the Saving Private Ryan one I believes plays through while there are a couple stops in the official video. So I feel where you are coming from

Sabaton is a Swedish metal band... Par The lead guitarist is former navy I think...Sweden has conscription so every on does service I think. Joakim lead vocalist is half Swedish not sure if he’s done. Their first 3 songs were nightchild (renamed Purple Heart) primo Victoria and panzercamf. Primo Victoria was about d-day, Purple Heart self explanatory and panzercamf was about operation Iraqi freedom ( the run on Baghdad). These were the first that dealt with historical events I’m not saying that these are their first songs ever because they were a metal band before they were a historical metal band

Great reaction guys! I'm so glad to see you found Sabaton. It is an awesome band, and is admittedly close to my heart since they are from my home country of Sweden. I think you will enjoy them just as much as Nightwish (no comparison - they both stand on their own). i guess you dont know but "Vet pride" is as far as i know only that big in US. I have a friend few blocks away who served 3 tours. Fought in Kerbala when his base was attacked. Was shot and wounded well really light injury. And you like wont ever hear him talking with such pride about being a veteran. They he told me few things but really small details and always when i ask him he says "I hope you never experience what those people there do" or just " i did what i was payed to do"

Saw that Devil dogs will come soon. To hell and back (Wich is about Audie Murphy and ptsd) Positive nationalism in 40:1 from Poland, Woodstock edit /Ok, this is already on Wicksters channel. Nice! You have probably had atleast 100 Bismarck requests already, but yeah, they are not wrong. (You will enjoy it) Night witches (Are about russian female pilots in WW2) Cliffs of Galipoli (oldie but goodie and a slower Sabaton sound.) Uprising (Either from Woodstock or the official music video) and I have to mention Fields of Verdun, Red Baron, Carolus Rex (wich is about the swedish king Karl Gustav) and to tickle your american pride, 82nd all the way and Devil dogs edit / dont know how I forgot that Devil dogs already was mentioned at the top of my post and 82nd is on Wicksters channel. Sabaton is the f...ing best band in the world (My oppinion) . Maybe you should react to their songs "Night Witches" (live) , "Devil Dogs", "Ghost in the Trenches", or "Verdun" for a start? Nice reaction video.
