Just installed mine so far so good hopefully no issues. You feel the difference on the flow compared to the one that the manufacturers give to you

Would buy one except my current pump is a Bestway Flo clear. They use two inch threaded hose connections whereas this uses slip fit with clamp hose connections. Would mean buying all new hoses. I am currently getting sand in my pool meaning a cracked lateral. Have looked everywhere and even though the owners manual breaks the pump down with parts numbers for the life of me I have been unable to find parts online. Seems Bestway wants you to buy a whole new filter.

@scrambler69-xk3kv I sure am sorry to hear your story of Pump Filter whoa. Caught is a dilemma, I know I would not want. I think a lot of companies do the connections hardware different just to make you stay with their product. Good luck on your decision going forward.

I set this up just like you said but sand keeps shooting in the pool ? I’m using ruby sand from the pool store, should I be using different sand?

So I just got mine and it's missing the drain cap on the tank. Any idea what thread it is?

I think it is the size of a garden hose connector. You can pick up a cap at the hardware store. Just try a hose, if it fits, go get one.

How much sand do you put in it had minimum and maximum line if that for the sand or for the water?

The min - max lines are for the sand. Water fills up the filter as you turn the pump on.

hi, did you end up installing this to your own pool? we just got one and we can't figure out the timer. it seems it turns it off, but it doesn't turn back on so you have to physically turn it on every day vs. a time type situation. just wondering if you are actually using it and found how if that is just how it works, etc. thanks

@user-dz7vx5yi7v hi, I only demonstrated setting up the pump filter so did not install in a pool. I reviewed the information on the website about the timer. It has a dual mode, single cycle mode timing and continuous cycle mode. Single cycle sounds like what you have set. I did not find any instructions on how to set continuous mode. Here is the link to the Amazon product information. amzn.to/42OcLkC As I see the controls, it looks like there is a on/off button and timer button along with hours settings. It looks like for single cycle you would just push the timer button to advance to the number of hours to run. Now to do the on and off every day for a number of hours, it seems to me, you would first push the on/off then push the time button for the number of hours. I think that is what you want. How did you connect the sand filter to the pool?? Is there a special connector from the filter to the 1.5” INTEX TYPE B??

@davidcross27, I do not have a pool, I am only demonstrating the Filter and Pump. A pool supply company could help you with that issue, sorry for not knowing, but these are two separate departments of a complete pool hookup.
