I had a terrible experience with a Vevor sand filter pump that was defective right out of the box. I'm still trying to get them to fix it under warranty, but they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction. If you ever have to file a warranty claim, you'll be sorry.

all you need to do is disconnect hoses and pump housing from motor take them in the house put down cellar. there is a cap on the sand filter undo that put in shed draining out all water. and the opening in the filter housing take a empty chlorine bucket cut a hole in the bottom of it same size slightly larger and put in the hole where you removed the control vale also put that in basement.

Im currently see sand when I back wash. The pump/filter does a great job at keeping the pool clean with a little agitation of the dirt. I have around 75# of sand in the 16 inch filter. I use a glass jar to see if it pushes sand out the filter.
