Yep, we’ll target all areas of the lock. From inspection it appears the locking mechanism is protected with the same grinder-resistant material as the shackle. Time will tell!

I think the cable extensions sold with these locks are great additions to your bike's overall security when they're utilised correctly. However, many cyclists seem to think the cables supplied offer the same security as the actual lock itself, and you often see bikes locked to immovable objects that are too large for the U-lock to encompass with the cable alone and the U-lock being used to secure either end. If used as stated above, you're right, they're an obvious weak point, but that's because they're not being utilised properly. @@bikelockwiki Got you. The worst videos of bikes thieves I have seen on YT are actually from England. The police there even seems to let them keep the stolen bikes and gives them their angle cutters back. I'm referring in particular to a video from Brighton and many from London.
