This is a good one, Viberg is a good quality made boot. That is probably the first time I’ve seen a video of their boots being dismantled. This came out amazing.

I Love Nicks Boots! This is the first Nicks video where I like the original boot more than the rebuild. If you want a Nicks boot, buy a Nicks boot. Don't ruin a perfectly wonderful original. Cheers

To everyone commenting on them replacing the vamp: Take into consideration that Nicks is a company designed to cater to the hardcore laborer. Tearing down the vamp is part of their normal rebuild process, other pnw brands do this as well. While yes they do possess the tools/skills to painstakingly re-use the original vamp, the idea is to show you what it would be like if a Viberg came through for a rebuild. For your entertainment, which is pretty cool right? Besides you can watch a Viberg get recrafted by any regular shop, but this one is a special Nicks fusion 😎💯❤️🫡

It’s a stupid flex. Basically suggesting that this boot is being upgraded from Viberg to Nicks. There was no reason to remove that vamp.

@@ronwang86 It's not a stupid flex. They relasted the boot. Stitchdown vamps don't have the spare leather to be restitched on a relast unless it's the same exact last and you're going to stitch through the same holes.

I knew this was going to be a half sole when I saw them carefully hammering down the nails on the sole. Normally they just beat them down hardcore with hammer, but this time it was gentle. Haha.

Someday Nick's will come out with a "causal boot" and increase their business 50 percent. Not rocket science. I guess it is a piece of the market they do not want to service.

They actually did release one recently called the LL64 limited edition. As the name implies it was only limited edition though and is no longer available... A shame really because if you google pictures of it, it is very nice looking.

They look sharp. Vibergs are more of a dress boot. They are well made boots. I like the remake of these boots with a better sole on them.

I usually really like Nicks videos but this video was a useless dog whistle. If they had resoled the boots maybe on the HNW last and stopped there THEN they could say they turned a Viberg Service Boot into Nicks boot. But as it is, all they did was take a couple of old quarters and backstays and reuse them for a new build. That has more to do with the tannery than Viberg. Might as well have called Horween or CF Stead and asked for some old scrap leather. No Viberg DNA left.

It’s good to see an inferior overpriced boot getting a makeover via rebuild. Did you know Viberg uses a compressed air nail gun and a lasting machine? They’re practically Red Wings.
