Daniel Tompkins also got a land grant donated for the current Dutch Reformed Church est. 1664. that is still standing today after 3 buildings. The 2nd building was touched during the American Revolutionary War by the British. The church is located at 54 Port Richmond Ave., Staten Island, NY 10302. Thanks to Tompkins, the church's cemetery is still in its original form to this day. Also Tompkinsville, Staten Island neighborhood was named after him as well.
