Taji took to Yelp to find the most poorly reviewed piercing shop. But it doesn’t stop there: Taji found a place that truly takes the phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” to the fullest extent.
Not only is it a piercing shop, but it’s also a tattoo parlor and... a bar. Some might say consuming alcohol before a piercing is a dangerous combination, but for Taji, it’s the perfect cocktail.
This place was shut down by the local health department, so Taji is going in with an open mind and hoping he doesn’t leave with an open wound.

Honestly, I think Taji has balls of steel for his interview style. Not only does he go to (allegedly) dubious establishments but then he proceeds to discuss bad and insulting reviews WHILE they're performing the service. And not just any service... This guy asks about reviews while getting a piercing, tattoo, haircut and even a botox session. "So while you have my nipple clamped and are about to stab me, I'd like to discuss why people say you're a PoS". Taji has my seal of approval for being likeable, funny and brave lol. 👍

Professional piercer and piercing shop owner here. Couple questions... did they ask you any health questions or have you fill out any paperwork before the piercing? Did he offer advice on aftercare and tell you what to expect? (Such as crusting and slight discharge during healing) Also, holding your breath is not a safe way to do it. I imagine people get lightheaded or pass out in his shop more often than they should. Thanks for taking the risk for us... but maybe go to a 5 star piercing shop and see the difference.

When it comes down to it, most entertainers "steal" their ideas from someone or something else. Unless it's copied word for word, like Dennis Leary did, it's just how it goes. You take an idea and expand upon it or add your own flare to it. Of course, there are some genuinely original ideas, but there are only so many things you can do as an entertainer. Just look at how many songs use the same chord progressions. It's kind of the same thing, only not nearly as limited.

I’ve been to this place in Brooklyn. I loved this place and went with my girl. I didn’t get piercings and neither did she. But they have these Sip and Tattoo events that are lit!!! You get Drinks and you use tattoo guns and tattoo a melon. Definitely recommend to go on a date. Piercings on the other hand I can say nothing. My girl loved this event though.

Ive got nothing against this show, I've had fun watching a few episodes but I have to say, a lot of these places will usually treat you better if you come with a camera/crew so it's a little skewed but still fun to watch

I love this guy, he's slightly awkward which makes the show even better bc he then has to put himself into an awkward position of talking to a shop owner about their own personal horrible reviews on the internet. I love the idea of this show and I think it's done really well. The host is perfect for the role. My only issue is that there aren't enough episodes at this moment. I would love more!!

I love these videos, they keep getting better. Love the cut scenes, and his confidence and on-screen performance have gotten even better. I wonder what a better approach would be so they don't feel stuck, I remember that in the last video I saw too that they were resistance to talking

I love this whole series, but I gotta admit, bringing up all the dudes bad reviews right as he was getting ready to poke u wasn't a great idea! Piercer's also get a little nervous. They want to do a good job, make the client comfortable, be as quick as they can... And these questions really threw off the natural flow of his work. But this social akward energy is why I love the series!!!

No respectable tattoo/piercing establishment serves you alcohol before doing a session. Also, when a client says they are scared, the tech is supposed to stop immediately and talk it over with them. Not push on at all costs. How are places like this even still in business?

IQ is a meaningless vestige of colonial stratification measuring nothing but performance on IQ tests mate. But I agree that it's a shame so many people are missing the genius of this series. It is a gem and should not be dismissed. No reason to get elitist though, you and I don't know the contexts from which it is being viewed in such a poor light.

He shouldn’t have told you to hold your breath. That is probably the reason the girl he said was strange for passing out, passed out. Every piercer knows to mark the placement of the nipple while the client is standing with their nipples in your direct line of sight in order to ensure they don’t end up crooked. This is probably why many of the reviews say that they’re crooked. Then they have you lay down with their arms at their sides, (this ensures the nipples don’t have any tension on them while being pierced which could result in stretched skin causing pain) take a few deep breaths and tell you “do NOT quit breathing. If you hold your breath you will probably pass out.” So it’s nobody’s fault but his that she KO’d for a minute.

I worked for these guys for a long time. They were very good. Can't say anything about the bar or the current situation as of 2021 but they are always friendly and well mannered. No hate for these guys ❤
