Slavery, Colonialism and Colonization are all evil things done by evildoers. 😔 Around fifty 50 nations fell under British Colonialism; while around twenty five 25 nations under French Colonialism. - In the Colonial era all Anglo Western Colonizers did in their Colonies worldwide was build infrastructure, such as roads and ports so that they could ship abundant natural mineral resources, raw materials back to Europe to make fine goods, since there hardly has any mineral resources in Europe. That is what Colonialism is all about; "Pillage and Plunder" at will. For instance, it is agreed upon the fact that Africa in general has progressed a lot more in the past 20-30 years than 200 years of Western Colonialism there. Moreover, World organization such as United Nations was helped founded, with cleverly drawn charters, by the West; only after they have had enough of practicing centuries-long global Slavery, Colonization and Colonialism; in such a way so as to; - keep their accumulated wealth to themselves, - their accumulated crimes not to get prosecuted by their former victims. 😔 The fact that they need to repent & repay their sins & crimes. After all, it's "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do" thing. Repay and repent for your long overdue crimes and sins. Remember the saying, "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do". "History is written by the victors and liars." ~ Napoleon Bonaparte Speaking of 'the rule of Law', may I ask where is the rule of law when the Anglo West is practicing centuries-long global Slavery, Colonialism & Colonization? May I ask when will the Anglo West face justice for their notorious centuries-long global crimes of Slavery, Colonialism and Colonization from North/South America to Australia/New Zealand? Speaking of 'crime'.., remember, it’s only a crime if you lose. The Anglo Western bloc had been on the winning side for about three centuries. Obviously, they couldn't care less about the "crimes" any more. 😔

I agree with the fact that Slavery, Colonialism & Colonization are all evil things done by evildoers 😔 Evildoers are deflecting the crimes by saying., "I saw my neighbor kidnapping one kid and tied him down in his basement, SO I STARTED TO DO THE SAME ON AN INDUSTRIAL SCALE WORLDWIDE FOR CENTURIES." That is not a valid excuse in ANY court of law... You're still a criminal, and you must and will repay your crimes. May I ask if you care to know the fact that Native Americans population in their motherland, the Continent of America before European Colonizers arrived was around 15 millions, while the European population in their motherland, Continent of Europe was around 25 millions. Today, Native Americans population in their motherland is 15 million, while the European population, in the Continent of America + Europe, is a staggering 'TWO BILLIONS'! For instance, 200 years ago here in the USA, around 3 million Germans came, and now there are 65 millions German-Americans; while 150 years ago, around 2 millions Irish came, and now there are 45 million Irish-Americans. While 500 years ago there were estimated to be 5 to 6 millions indigenous Native Americans in the USA, before Christopher Columbus arrived, today there are only around 2 million indigenous Native Americans survived. Imagine this scenario, if Native American people cross the Atlantic, invade and Colonize Europe, and slaughter most Europeans, and put the remaining populations in tiny reservations, for 500 long years. How would Europeans feel about it? Think about it. All they need is their beloved motherland back, the lands that their ancestors' forebears had lived through thick and thin, endured through hardships and all for generations. Besides, indigenous Native Americans in Colonized lands of Anglo British, Spaniard and others are more of the same. Kill the indigenous Natives and whoever is left, marginalize them and create artificial poverty, once that poverty becomes crime and drinking, the media points to the poor and blames them to continue to stigmatize the 'other' community, scumbags, etc. Amazing fact that Indigenous Natives had built such great civilizations as Mayan, Inca and Aztec without outside help, and all from scratch, and all on their own, since they had been cut off from the rest of the world for twenty thousand years. In other words, they actually are great and proud people. Imagine what it would be like today if Native Americans had possessed some sort of nuclear weapons to defend themselves, and their beloved motherlands from invaders Colonizers? The answer is they would still have their own beloved motherlands, plus their population comparable to that of the European population. In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people. Notorious global cardinal crimes the West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is notorious Colonization still lingering on, may I ask? 😔

Every country in the commonwealth is there VOLUNTARILY. Its not an empire, the members can leave any time they want. The members all CHOSE to be part of the commonwealth. And British monarchs have no legislative power over anywhere, they're just symbolic heads of state but the government does 100% of all decision making. So I really don't see the problem with countries VOLUNTARILY choosing to maintain a trading relationship with other countries which USED TO BE in the british empire, with the Royal family as its symbolic figurehead. Britain has been a constitutional monarchy for centuries, so colonialism wasn't even their fault it was entirely the british government's fault

‘The Empire’s New Clothes: The Myth of the Commonwealth Reviewed by Andrew Moravcsik January/February 2019 Published on December 11, 2018 Murphy, the director of the University of London’s Institute of Commonwealth Studies, argues that the Commonwealth of Nations does not exist. Formally, to be sure, the organization encompasses one-third of the world’s population in its 53 postimperial member states. Queen Elizabeth II is its titular head, Prince Charles is her presumed successor, and Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, are freshly minted Commonwealth youth ambassadors. Euroskeptics profess a deep faith that Brexit offers a golden opportunity for the United Kingdom to reembrace the Commonwealth, thereby unleashing a bonanza of trade and investment. Yet all of this, Murphy argues, is little more than pomp and circumstance. Commonwealth members disagree about almost everything, even basic human rights. The organization coddles “a grim collection of charlatans, chancers and outright villains.” Decades ago, citizens of member countries could immigrate to the United Kingdom, but no more. The United Kingdom still grants Commonwealth members preferential tariffs, but only through common eu rules: the threat of exclusion from the European market means Commonwealth leaders have unanimously denounced Brexit. Murphy ends by encouraging the United Kingdom to shed its post-imperial delusions-even though that may put him out of a job.’ [Ends]

I prefer them this length. Any longer and I know it would be hard for me to make time to learn about this complex and multi-layered topic. I often have to skip videos that are longer than 15 minutes on KZfaq because I just don't have the time to wade through the content to find specifically what I'm interested in learning. As it is, this video in part of a larger series about the British Monarchy. Overall, I believe it has over an hour's worth of content. Each video however is less than 15 minutes, which is how it should be. Think of it like a chapter in a longer book. Would you want to read a 300 page book with no chapter divisions? *sigh. The Realms have traditionally stable governments. The constitutions of most of these nations make it very difficult to disentangle from the Crown/Monarch. As an American, I have no stake in this matter, just pointing out the obvious. Doubt the monarch is going anywhere as head of state in the Realms anytime soon.

Oki Niisokowa: (Traditional Niitsitapi Greeting) I hope and pray this comment finds you in good health and great spirits. I LOVE all videos that speak the TRUTH, yours is almost loved. There is one major TRUTH that you missed. GENOCIDE WAS COMMITTED IN HER NAME! SHE knew laws and policy were made IN HER NAME. YET all that time on the throne she allowed it to exist. Her SILENCE STHRENGTHENED GENOCIDE. Last week, Metis MP Leah Gazan, put a motion through canada's parliament. A motion that recognized canada's residential school system as a tool of GENOCIDE. We as FIRST NATIONS, INUIT & METIS knew it all our lives. It took elected officials here 155 years to realize hey we MURDERED UNARMED INNOCENT CHILDREN. Has anyone been ARRESTED ... NO Foreign companies, monarchs, governments, banks, and so ALL MAKE MONEY of the STOLEN RESOURCES from STOLENB LANDS. I asked a question to a professor in My First Nations Studies course, he was also First Nations... For many years I keep hearing the words 'it's our land, it's stolen lands, unceded lands', If this is true, How are they (provincial & federal governments) able to claim British Columbia, (which by the way is being clear cut to provide the united kingdom with electricity), as a british or canadian province as they did not give up land in a treaty, or sale... His answer... 'They have the guns, they have the courts, they have the policies, they have the army & police' Both the liberal and conservative governments have made the laws for the past 155 years. They both have control of out parliaments and supreme court as they appoint the judges. They were once the LiberalConservative Party, I think they still are as they fight and threaten to get the other arrested but that never happens. People (voters) get richer with their polcies. WHILE we as FIRST NATIONS, INUIT & METIS have the highest numbers when it comes to OPIOID Deaths, UNCLEAN WATER, CHILDREN in care, SUICIDE RATES, DIABETIS HIV STI TRANSMISSIONS, ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE. and so on. All of this i learned growing up on a reserve, (the nazi's also had reserves, I did not know that until three weeks ago), i lived in a bubble thinking that everything was alright. Then i saw the movie 'Biko' it changed my life. I started looking at life differently. Oh yeah the Indian act the most racist piece of law that is still law was used to create apartheid. ALL OF THIS WAS DONE IN HER NAME I bet if you did a pole and asked FIRST NATIONS, INUIT & METIS and those of fireigen backgrounds you would see that the numbers would be 90% to 100% to rid canada of the monarchy so we could have the land back, as it is all held in trust. UNCA May Apistokoke be with you be safe and take care. Maistoo'awaastaan (Crow Flag) Piikani, Niitsitapi PS: A recent article for you quillette.com/blog/2022/10/31/welcome-to-canada-nation-of-genocidaires/

Doesn't really talk about what the commonwealth does bad, as much as the injustices of the empire. The two are very different things. There are exploitative people in the UK, but it's not institutionalised. If you wanna see real institutionalised neo-colonialism, look at France's relationship with its west African colonies. They basically stage 'interventions' whenever the general they installed as leader decides they don't want to give the oil/diamonds/random resource to the Europeans. But oh no, they dont have a monarch... There's a reason that the Scandinavian monarchies are consistently rated most democratic and free by the UN and international organisations. Because monarchy is a CONSTITUTIONAL position designed to underpin democracy.

might be an unpopular opinion but I think jamaica was better off as a british colony. As an island nation you are so dependent on imports you want to have close ties to a major economic player like the UK. British people were much more likely to invest in Jamaica, or holiday there when it was a colony. As an american I would probably have been loyal to the british during the revolution. a small tax on tea is nothing to fight a war over.

Get rid of one of their castles? You do realise the monarchy doesn't actually own them right? The Royal palaces are the property of the nation, and are managed by the government. In the same way as the president doesn't actually own the Whitehouse, the monarchy doesn't actually own Windsor Castle. Windsor Castle is almost a thousand years old, and is an important part of british heritage and is open to the public and receives millions of tourists every year. It basically pays for itself

If you don't like it leave, i really don't understand why they insist on staying in the Commonwealth and maintaining a foreigner as your monarch, if it's really going to be an issue, it's not like the Brits are going to re-invade and re-annex. And Barbados' move is so disingenuous, leave altogether, don't just half ass it and remain. And the tax haven part, again is that the policy that the British imposed? If not, i don't see how that's the fault of Britain and the monarchy.

The british empire doesn't exist anymore, those countries are all independent. Every country in the commonwealth is there VOLUNTARILY. Its not an empire, the members can leave any time they want. The members all CHOSE to be part of the commonwealth. Those countries all are fully self-governing, they just chose to be in the commonwealth which gives them a family of trading partners. The commonwealth doesn't mean the UK rules over those countries, the commonwealth is just a collection of countries FORMERLY in the british empire who wish to maintain a trading relationship
