The boats look wonderful and the technique is classic and proven. But it's 2018. Is there a version of this video that wasn't shot on a 1990 cell phone as a video camera?

It is a beautiful design, but I do not think that it is a good idea to capture wood in between layers of fibreglass especially in the bilges. Just see what happens ten years later!

+Carmel Pule' Some of the best,fastest,highest quality boats are made this way.It started in the Carolina's with commercial fishing and work boats and has proven itself over time.The only time it is a problem is if someone doesnt know what they are doing cuts holes in the sides of the boat ;)

despite what some folks are saying I would be cautious too. I have been repairing boats all my life and despite all the claims , wood encapsulated can be troublesome. I am very familiar with the process and I do think what they are doing will last a long time but the 3rd or 4th owner is going to find a nasty suprise in the bilge at some point. even if the job was perfect when first done as soon as the carpenters and fitters get in there with there screws and fitting to be attached holes will be made into the encapsulated wood and problems will happen...... its a boat it always happens. but will the boat last a long time , i'm sure, and way longer than the average car so maybe it does not matter. I still enjoy seeing boats built this way and so much classier than a fiberglass or metal boat cheers warren

I t's simply the best way to build a round chimed yacht. Epoxy impregnated every 3 mm . It will see the test of time. 100 years no problem
