I was just involved in a renovation in Canadian high school so I got to go into classrooms and see what's on the walls and what's on the walls of the hallways and it blew my mind. Of course, there was stuff about how white males have all the privilege, even though the school is 80% Indian. There were things on the walls like "You are more than your sexual identity", which is an argument nobody is claiming. Somebody who hates trans people with a passion, understands that they are more than just their sexual identity. They are desperate for bogeyman. It was absolutely pathetic and made me lose. What little respect I had for the education system.

Today in the average grade school children are only being taught parts of history; teachers literally eliminate presidents out of text books they do not approve of. Like the truth does not exist? Why not give us the right to choose what we believe instead of force down our young impressionable minds of our children with threats against our very constitution all because they feel that they deserve a break or more free stuff.

Many universities allow for open discourse. In fact, a lot of American ones are actually largely conservative. These include Clemson, Arkansas State, University of Alabama, LSU, etc. This isn't a universal occurrence.

These students just alienated a brilliant, caring, professor who is actually on their side. By calling everyone racist they are diluting the meaning of an extremely important word. Now, when I hear someone being called racist, I don't even give it a second thought. It's become an insult that carries about as much weight as calling someone dumb. They have done the world and themselves a disservice. What they did to Professor Weinstein was cruel. You can check on line. He was a very high rated professor by his students. It terrifies me that these students choose to embrace ignorance over truth. This exact same type of protesting is what caused Communist Russia, the most evil nation to exist is centuries to become a world power. This neo bigotry must be stopped. But how do can you reason iwth someone that is okay with being wrong because it feels good? Imagine the types of leaders they would put in power? This truly is a danger to our civilization. Even more frightening are the professors who actually endorse the neo bigotry and most frightening of all are the administrators who are now letting the students set University Policy. If anyone has any ideas on how to stop this I'd love to hear them. My fear is that the government is going to have to step in and write even more laws when frees speech is already guaranteed in the constitution. I feel like I'm living int he twilight zone.

It’s a horrible academic school anyway, the starting salary is lower than if u didn’t even go to college, basically everyone gets in as the acceptance rate is 96% and u only need a 19 on ur act to be in the average.

Djinman1 I don't think they are trying to argue for free speech. The students arguing for a lack of free speech, since they see it as threatening themselves by instigating violent racists. The Prof's message is not racist. Adding people to the conversation is not necessarily a bad thing. As long as the opinions are well articulated, it's quite productive

@@mariopalos9238 Those privileged students were being disruptive, chaotic, they directly called for violence against professors, bullied white students into not showing up to campus, they should have been expelled by the President of the college. In my school in the UK, that attitude would have meant I had to switch schools or get a job. Rock and a hard place, if you think kids shouting at you is a hard place you live a very comfortable place. If he suspended them what are they gonna do? If they stay and be violent, they'll get arrested... exactly what they would deserve in the situation. Students don't run schools, otherwise there is chaos, like what's going on at Evergreen. This happened in spring of 2017, since then a degree from there has been greatly devalued, and enrollment has been on a rather steady and quick decline. They've been kept on life support through taxpayer funds, but it appears that they're very close to shutting down. Conveniently, they blame Covid, even though they've been facing the issues for a few years now, although Covid is probably the final nail in the coffin.

He also has probably over 100 videos pertaining to the college in the following years, and the downward spiral they've been embarked on since. It's a pretty entertaining (and scary) rabbit hole to go down.

If you have a dissenting voice or opinion, you wouldn't dare to express it for fear of not just losing your job, but having your life ruined. I believe climate change is real but that we also do the know proportionally how much humans are responsible. That used to be the basis for the theory. But the only scientists who could even dream of reminding us that it is a theory, are those with tenure. And even then, tenure won't save you from being ostracized.
