So what’s the story behind this company? I seem to remember it originating from the Saiga importer before the Russian sanctions, and it’s not actually affiliated with Kalashnikov Concern.
@PrussianJaeger6 жыл бұрын
It has no relation to Kalashnikov Concern. Saiga is owned by Kalashnikov Concern.
@twrol6 жыл бұрын
You remember correctly...this is rwc down to the owners. It would like century arms trying to change there name to Cugir or Zastava of Vermont.
@alexandruianu84326 жыл бұрын
There is some connection, through CAA/Hartman/Kalashnikov Israel, though nothing direct to KC in Russia because the sanction regime does not permit it.Technically, they could have gotten the technology package for the Vityaz, Saiga and AK-103 for free, since that's fine, but even if they wanted to be licensed, they couldn't. I'm assuming that they are tolerated (with some condemning statements by KC for the press) because it's useful to popularize the name with successful products once the international situation cools off (even if it gets hot first). Even if they flunk, KC can eventually come in and say: those were posers, get the real deal here.

Ok, I bought one of these about a year ago and just recently put a couple hundred rounds through it. Looks great, shoots great, cycles everything great. Here's the gloomy part, the front trunnion and bolt are cast metal. I've asked several people including Kusa about this. Kusa responded that it was a proprietary casting process and that it would last. The 12 gauge is approximately a quarter the pressure of the 7.62 so maybe a cast trunnion will work, I dont know. Any takes on this aspect of the weapons construction?

@user-qz2sw7pq8y6 жыл бұрын
under normal political climate they will be defindly sued because the kalaschnikov name is pattentet by kalschnikov concern ( but not the ak design likewise for example the russians can create ar 15 types of weapons) but kalaschnikov usa sucks anyway.

Check this out and the real reason to why it was established its to get around to sanctions on Russia after 2014 invasion of Ukraine www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-22/-kalashnikov-gun-maker-in-florida-under-federal-investigation
@TheRoadhammer3795 жыл бұрын
@@user-qz2sw7pq8y The stupidity of your comment is overwhelming. They were the importer for Kalashnikov Concern until 2014, they had to cut ties because of the sanctions. There is no lawsuit, and they bought the rights to the Vitzyaz 9mm, the 103 and the Saiga. They produce the 9mm now, the ks12T and with John Mossberg at the Helm, they are working on the ak 47/74 rifles as of 2019. Get educated and learn how to compose a comprehensible sentence and work on the grammar, knucklehead.
@user-qz2sw7pq8y5 жыл бұрын
@@TheRoadhammer379 are you sure ? i remember seeing videos of kalaschnikov concern critizising kalaschnikov usa and also naming them as illegal. they also very often point out that they have nothing to do with kalaschnikconcern. www.rt.com/business/440850-kalashnikov-production-us-theft/ here is for example some comments by rostec. kalaschnikov usa hasnt bought any rights or license and their take on the weapons isnt inovativ either its just a copy ( just think how evryone would lose their mind if kalaschnikov concern started to produce a copy of hk416, scar and maybe the m27 IAR ... and they would offer it for half the price ) they even didnt bother to really develop their own logo. This concen basicly uses the situation created by sanctions to sell their own stuff under false name. just imagine "random Chinese company" making copys of i phones of lesser quality selling them under the " apple china " brand with the same logo in the usa or anywhere ? wouldnt you expect a lawsuit ? the problem is like i said current political situation dosent allow such normal juristical things to happen. concerning my grammer , well i speak several alnguages and english is the least important and usefull of them so to be honest besides being able to communicate i dont need anything more
@ctm74585 жыл бұрын
starshiy serzhant its all by design... KUSA is an affiliate. Admitting they are related would negate the whole purpose and effectiveness of the import ban. RT(Russia Today) ultimately is a controlled news outlet to serve Russian interest .... ... So it would benefit (Kalashnikov) to play like they mad that KUSA is not related. Boom

People who don't already have VEPR 12s will have to accept substitutes. VEPRs have been banned from import to the US for about six months now. The VEPR 12 is the standard by which all other AK pattern shotguns should be measured, but it is NOT the only viable option in this arena.
@leovi87066 жыл бұрын
Elijah Decker wrong brother...dead wrong, the history of saiga and the quality are what sets them aside from the rest. There is a reason why the Russian competition shooting champ uses saiga and not vepr
@samsungtv4u6 жыл бұрын
Leo Vi that use izhmash guns because izhmash saiga has ipsc ready guns for stock competition ipsc is more popular in Russia then in the USA for the simple reason you must be in the shooting club to be able to buy fun guns in Russia. I have four variance of different manufacturers after 12 gauge AK platforms , Vepr is the best. Ижевске завод ishmash the company that sells Saiga has a better marketing team because Michael Kalashnikov worked in this Factory and had a lot of connections with the bitters for a large variety of rifles this is why most things come from the ishmash Factory and sometimes more Superior weaponry is ignored and is not used by Russian armed forces only because of personal relations between the seller and the buyer .
