As a a manager I can confirm that visibility of work is key. I refer to this as “loud working” as opposed to “quiet quitting”. That’s said, if you have a good manager even people who don’t self-promote will be acknowledged.

This! It is the essence of Management by Walking Around. Go to your subordinates, check-in to see how they are doing to notice what they are doing well and how you can help them. Leaders need good managers!

Managers arguably have the hardest job managing up and down. We need more good managers who aren't burnt out!!

I have been a full-time caregiver for the past 28 years. I gave up a promising career because both of my sons had disabilities that needed my focus. Now, my youngest is in a group home. It has been 3 months and I have options but since I am now 52 and have only been a caregiver all this time others may not see my experience as useful. So, I want to teach other caregivers how to survive that world and then even thrive. I am starting at the very beginning. I find your videos inspiring and the framework idea organizing for my wealth of specific knowledge. Thank you for that. I look forward to learning more from you. Any advice.. Is welcome

I hope you are a Leadership coach - this content is so good. Consider doing a podcast as well. Also - no need to use a lot of generic video content - you talking and perhaps a couple of slides work as well - and might safe you time so you can focus more on content.

Hey Vicky.. Your channel is one of my most favourite channels in KZfaq. You seem to focus on the content and pack your videos with so much pointers which one could take and integrate into their thinking toolbox, while most mainstream KZfaqrs seem to focus on rehashed ideas collated from multiple sources packed with cool visuals/edits.. looking forward to the content you will be coming up with.. Also you had mentioned in passing about the theme of the channel, I could find some videos series grouped on mental models.. any video on the theme of the channel and content one could find would be useful for newer subscribers IMO. Thanks!

All the things you share bring clarity over things I couldn’t quite understand before and nobody really teaches you. Thank you so much!!

Wow Vicky, that was packed with great ideas.I really liked the hourenso idea, especially how improving awareness and reducing tension around problems can add value to your performance. I never thought of these processes as something i could leverage to my benefit, Thank you! Your personal example to illustrate the asymmetrical bet was also great. You never fail to inspire and empower Vicky.

Hi Vicky, this is great content, I definitely see myself a lot in this identity of star employee. In terms of editing, I see you're doing your best to insert diverse individuals and genders. It's so refreshing to see more asian women ngl. Any chance you might add more darker skintones as well in the future? Thanks. Take care.

I would be keen to read a book by you about frameworks and mental models. I'm sure it would be far better than any bestseller in the realm of PKM or self improvement in general. Greetings from Italy, Paolo

I'm autistic. Visibility on work hurts me, yet is so necessary. Still didn't find how to properly walk that line.

The visibility game is so frustrating and like you said a part of work even though no one seems to enjoy it no matter which level they are at in the organization...
